Express pass is a must do on our trip. I have figured out how to use it best for many of my days.

I will do rope drop do 1-3 hours in one park. take express over somewhere else get a fp+ out the way eat lunch, then use the last two fp+ and then go back for our afternoon break. Then back to whatever part is that evening's park.

I think our first night (arriving at the park about 7 pm) we will get to see the normal fireworks.
I also think I can do F! and make it to Epcot to see the 9 or 9:30 showing of Illuminations in one night.
We will have rol package we could do that one night and after take express to mk or just go get some sleep (lol)
all I know is we have a lot evening shows and 2 nights is party nights.
The express bus pass is going to come in handy.

Not sure if this has been asked yet or not but does anyone know if it's possible for 1 person on a reservation to upgrade to the DDP and the other person to stay on the QSDP?

We are booked through a TA. Found out after I booked that being a TA is her second job. Is it wrong that I emailed her and asked if she was planning to take off on Monday to focus on her FD responsibilities? I have not got a response yet.

Can I just ask...what is the advantage of using at TA? I see that a lot of people use them and was wondering what the benefit was, since it is quite simple to self book through the website.

At this point I don't know!! I regret it and will probably never do it again!

Kind of off topic....but we're all here for the food right?!?! Has anyone eaten at T-Rex? Yay or nay? My boys are 4 (next week:bday:) and 5.5. It's not too scary is it? Also, they never seem to have availability online but I've heard if you call the restaurant directly they have lots of tables. Any truth to that?
We've eaten there many times. We've never had a problem getting a table even just walking in. You'll have a wait though. It's not too scary, but it can be very loud. We've never had good service. We've been to different T-Rex all over the country and the bad service seems to be company wide. We continue to go back though. The prices are high (but everything at Disney is so you'll be used to that) but the food really is good and the atmosphere is fun.

I do have a question. We have reservations at Pop for week in a standard. After doing some research and considering we have 70 year olds and a 6 and 8 year old..is it worth $15 a night for our 2 rooms to upgrade to a preferred based on description close to dining and transportation? Can people who have stayed there tell me If the rooms are significantly closer and saves lots of walking for a week stay. It would cost $230 + tax to upgrade the 2 rooms. Thx in advance
Sorry uf you don't understand something because my english is not very good but I'll try to explain my experience: I have been to Pop 3 times, first year we stayed in a standar room in it was a long loooonnng walk from our Room to the bus and restaurant, we had to walk through the parking lot to cut the walk. The next two years we stayed at standar but we called 3 days before our arrival date to ask a Room request to be the closest posible to the restaurant and it was a big difference, very short walk.
But I'm not sure this year if they are going to take room request because of the construccition , I belive I read something about it, but I'm not sure.
Bottom line: it is worthy to pay preferred

How does this work if my package is already completely paid in full? Would I still have to make a new reservation with a new deposit and can they just take the money I paid for my first package and pay off the second?

We were in that position a few years ago, and our original reservation had to be cancelled and refunded for the new one with FD to be done.

But you never know, things might have changed since.

For everyone talking about crowds in December. Try going on New Year's Eve. We went in 2015 and it was insane!!! MK was at capacity before 10 AM. We were in Epcot and it was packed. But all in all it was the best New Year's ever!!!! I would do it again but the rest of my party isn't up to it this year, so we are going the week before Christmas.

Because of work we are going the week before Christmas too, Dec. 16-23. Nervous about crowds! But no real choice if we want to go.

I think with both of these you get the locals too to push up the numbers and they may just be there for that night then book it home.

It's cool and not scary. Just don't let them put you in the sensory overload room (aka the ice cave). The ever changing lights makes your food taste different. Before you naysay I worked for a food manufacturer and participated in a ton of sensory tests. Changing the lighting on your food can make it taste completely different. That room changes colors constantly and makes for a horrible dining experience.
