Is there an English translation button I am not seeing. My Spanish is awfully rusty after 25 years
I really hope POR is NOT excluded. We booked there in December for our anniversary. Fell in love with it through pictures and we were so excited to stay there. Tempted to switch it to POP since many of you experts keep saying how great it is, and it sounds like that will fill up right away on Monday... But then again, if I book there, it doesnt mean I will get FD added to my reservation, plus I will be kicking myself if POR is good to go. I really wish this would just drop. Not sure I can be patient much longer, lol :)

For everyone talking about crowds in December. Try going on New Year's Eve. We went in 2015 and it was insane!!! MK was at capacity before 10 AM. We were in Epcot and it was packed. But all in all it was the best New Year's ever!!!! I would do it again but the rest of my party isn't up to it this year, so we are going the week before Christmas.
We went last year from December 16-26. The crowds were GREAT from the 16-24th. The 25th and 26th were insane though, but we had done everything we really wanted to do on the less crowded days.

I hope the crowd level isn't too outrageous this year. My son's GF has never been and she is so excited. Just want it to be a memorable trip for her. She texts my wife almost every day asking questions about it.

QS at the MODs is less of a value but we did the QS dining plan last year and really liked the freedom. All the kids in the family are older and we did tons of character meals in the past. The kids were very vocal that they wanted to spend as much time on attractions instead of "wasting time" at TS restaurants. Wiht FP+ locking you in with that schedule, it was nice not to be tied to an ADR every day. We ate where we wanted when we wanted instead of what I decided 6 months in advance. We had an ADR for BOG lunch and paid OOP (Disney Visa Rewards) for Tusker House breakfast and Minnie's Holiday Dine.

I know many people love TS on the DDP, just trying to make lemonade....
Thank you for the lemonade. Hope Disney adds more sugar! This is only our second trip so many places we haven't eaten at yet.Plus it may be our last trip for a couple years AND I have a newbie going that id like to impress with Disney. So we will upgrade to include TS restaurants

How does this work if my package is already completely paid in full? Would I still have to make a new reservation with a new deposit and can they just take the money I paid for my first package and pay off the second? I shouldn't have a problem though hopefully, I'm booked at Sports with 6 day park hopper..

I had a similar situation this winter with a class trip to WDW - one of the students, who was the "lead" guest in the room and had the reservation in her name, dropped out of the trip after it was paid for, Disney had to make a new reservation in a different student's name (they could not just change the name on the old reservation to the other student in the room for some reason), and then transferred the funds to the new reservation. It had to be done by calling (not online) and the receipt was a bit weird because it said 'paid by internal transfer' rather than paid on credit card xxx xxx xxx (a small problem for us because we had to provide receipts to each student.)

Bummed CSR is sold out one of the nights during the week we are looking at. It is our favorite resort and never have to worry about FD being excluded. *Sigh* Just adds to the drama that now I have to find another resort on top of guessing what will happen for FD.

Coronado was AMAZING last year. It was my first trip ever! I have a room booked at POR this coming December. Booked there to stay at a moderate so I could get the regular dining plan... Now that the rumors are coming up that POR is excluded, thinking about switching it over to Coronado again. The pool is amazing there.

I would suggest staying with QS and paying for a table service or two out of pocket. I'm taking two newbies and was thinking of upgrading to regular dining, but with a newbie they may not be able to stay caught up and have such a stringent schedule might be a bit daunting. I know one will be able to keep up, but I think or second companionion might be calling it an early night and that leaves the meals free for him to get back at the hotel. With schedueling the parks and then the fast passes and tossing in a lunch there and maybe someone wont be hungry by the time I've scheduled dinner. Its just too much. I think we all eat at different times soooo.

Is anyone in here pondering getting the Express Pass? Just curious.
I have thought about it. But not really to save time, but for my mom to save her some walking. This is on my to do list once FD is decided for us or not. She walks slow and beed breaks. I have read the drop off/ ons are closer.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the great information I have been given just from "lurking" on this board. Our last 5 visits (over the past 12 years) have been with free dining. I have never had any problems getting exactly what we wanted (which was standard CBR, standard POFQ for 3 visits, and standard CSR the last visit). I started "lurking" to get rumors on the drop date this year. I'm so glad I did. I had NO idea it had gotten this hard to get what you want. Now I'm obsessed. I'm going to be up with y'all Sunday night/Monday morning just hoping and praying to get what we want. Right now we are booked for CSR from 12/14 - 12/20 with PH. I am one of the ones without a modify/change button, so I'll be trying to make a new reservation for a moderate(if Disney wises up and gives the moderates DDP:tongue:) or POP if we are stuck with QSDP.

I wish all of you the best of luck, because it sounds like we are going to need it along with a little Disney:tinker: magic.

I love Coronado. I even thought of switching up my dates, but the following week, one night is sold out as well. Bummed that one night ruins the whole week. I'd check the availability for your week to make sure you can switch if POR is excluded. I didn't love POFQ the one year we stayed there but no way I want to stay at CBR with the construction, so I guess POFQ might be it :confused3. Unless POR isn't excluded, I guess that will have to replace CSR for the week!

I Need help! I dont' know where to even start. Right now we are booked at CBR with the GC offer but I can' figure out if it would be better to try to get two rooms at Pop(which scares me because we may not have connecting rooms), stay at CBR and pay upgrade for DDP instead of QSDP or move to a Deluxe and get DDP free there. Does anyone have any idea which would be a better value?
When I crunched the numbers, Deluxe costs more even with FD and so would two rooms at a value resort. We are two adults three kids

Why is everybody so obsessed in planning the best Disney vacation?

I do it for a couple of reasons
1. I like to save money! Every little bit helps

2. I think Disney is a great class leveler. Sure people can stay in top of the line deluxe or bargain values. But in the parks it's all about the planning! I like the look on my wife's face when her girlfriends ask if we rode 7dmt and my wife replies yes about 5 times. Or the say did you eat at be our guest and she replies yes twice dinner and once lunch. Some people may have more money and sure they can get a VIP tour guide. But because I plan and put work in to the vacation I can get more out of it than the people who just show up.

I feel your pain. CSR has not been available for my dates since I started looking 3 months ago and I'm going late Nov.
