Completely agree. In our experience December gets more crowded each day of the month until around the 20th or so when it gets exponentially more crowded.

This happened to a friend- they went dec 10-17 last year and said it was fine until about Thursday then it just got insane and unbearable.

I'm not sure it matters, because you often have to make a new reservation to get FD. It all depends on room type available with FD at each resort.

I might have missed the chain of quotes to this point, but are you saying you don't think anyone with an existing reservation at an eligible resort would be able to change their promotional package to FD?

No, please no trolls allowed! Everyone here has been so gracious and patient. And yes, we are obsessive, but in a good "Disney" sort of way. LOL!

Yeah !!! my DH is taking the kids to watch SKY Champions league game in our town's sportclub. Meaning guess who gets the TV recliner, TV, fire and will watch the latest DISunplugged ( where FD is a topic). Me!!!

So you don't think we'll be able to modify??

I would be ready for either. Try to modify, but if your room type is not included, be ready to make a new reservation. Don't cancel your first reservations until you have your new one in place.

Question: Will people still be using this thread well after FD drops, just to check in and watch the trends? I think I'd get lonely for everyone in here and want to continue to communicate well after the waters settle.

I want to hear if everyone got FD at their resort of choice. So, I hope we all check-in after the rush is over.

My sweetie and I have decided to do just QS in Epcot next time we go. The rush to get from one place to another can feel less vacation like and more "this is work". But I'm going with my cousins this time around and they like long sit down meals. I guess as long as we aren't rushing to eat to get to our next FP it will work out, but more often than not the FP's cut into our dining time, so it's a mad dash to get to where we need to be. I can definitely relate.
Next year I'm going with a friend and she is more of a sit down and really relax type so we will upgrade for that one.

:offtopic: I finally got an avatar to work for me!! Now... how do I add a ticker at the bottom????:confused3

i highly recommend Morroco's tangerine cafe QS. Great value portion wise, fresh, healthy , a bit different for some. I love northern african/ persian food

Oh no, I have noticed quite a few newcomers in here, which is fine, everyone has been polite and respectful. What happened that it got ugly?
No no, it didn't get ugly. I could just see that outsiders came and had slightly negative things to say (like how crazy we all are, or how none of this really matters). It didn't get ugly at all, I just don't want it to!

Pondering....... is Disney is smart line the airlines and will allow overbooking of resorts and allow more FD bookings. They have to be getting feedback on all these double bookings. Imagine checking in to POP " sorry we sre oversold, but we can offer you a room instead at the Poly" !!!

If you have the room type and the resort where FD is available, then you just might. I have been lucky in the past. But, due to limited availability for every room type, I have also had to create a new reservation a couple of times. Just depends on what Disney wants to release.

We always go this time of year, and I've always found that the crowds aren't bad until about the 15th or 16th. Every year is a little bit different though.
