I have a question for your the ones who did it last year,
I have seen on the web a Tshirt that says Princess 2010 1/2 I DID IT with the map of the race on the back.

Where do they sell that?

According to a runDisney rep last weekend, there are no plans for any Princess Half merchandise to be on sale before the expo in February.

Bummer!

Well, does anyone have a picture of what those shirts looked like? Maybe I can just make something similar for my gals. Ooh, maybe I'll check ebay. Could be someone on there selling one from last year.

I think Cafe Press had a design you could order.

OK, how much $$ am I going to need for the expo! I want that "I did it " shirt!

Those of you who run to music, whats on the top of your playlist right now? I'm always looking for new music to keep inspired on my longer runs. I just downloaded Sugarland's 'Stuck like glue' and some of my other favs are 'Animal' by Neon Trees, 'Love Like Woe' by The Ready Set, 'Just a Guy' by BC Jean, and my power song is 'I'm a Believer' by Smash Mouth. What do you all run to?

Love 'I'm a Believer'! It always gets me going.

So, I finished my 3rd half marathon this year, today, the Outer Banks Half Marathon. Perfect weather, mostly flat course, and beautiful.

Beware first-timers at the Princess, as Princess 2010 turned me into an addict!!

However, I have been having a lot of trouble with my shin lately, and will be heading towards a sports med doc this week. I have the sneaking suspicion I have a stress fracture...

I saw one on ebay last night, but I hav to say last year's was pretty lame-- just a white tech shirt with a very small 'princess in training' on the front.

I so hope you're wrong about that! I'm 5 weeks into my stress fracture, which as my sports dr. said, was "significant". The only exercise she's letting me do is about 20 minutes on an exercise bike with no resistance. I barely break a sweat! Hardly worth the gas driving to the gym...

Good luck at the dr. Hopefully it's nothing some rest and ice can't cure!

What were your symptoms?

Hope it's better soon.

I have not read all 211 pages of posts, but just wanted to chime in that I am also doing the Princess Half- I am working on becoming a Perfect Princess, having done both of the prior Princess Halfs.

In addition, the Princess Half will be my second half marathon in my year of doing a half marathon a month to celebrate turing 50!:woohoo:

To bring my heart rate back down I like: Clair de Lune, Enya Shepherd Moons, Sunrise by Nora Jones, and Who I was born to be by Susan Boyle.

Peppy music - You belong with me by Taylor Swift, Rebel Yell by B. Idol, Viva La Vida by Cold Play, Wannabe by Spice Girls, Two Princes by Spin Doctors, Speed of Sound by Cold play, Party in the USA, and Happy little working song by Disney, Persona 3 Master of Shadow to name a few

Oh, and I am going to get "Mr. Blue sky?" It was in the movie Megamind. Really happy and uplifting song.

I was reading up on stress fractures. It said that it will happen when your muscles are really tired and fatiguing. They just can't cushion the blows of running anymore and that's when you get a fracture. Is this info right??? Sounds like it makes sense.

I remember some days I just didn't have the energy to run far. It's nice with training, I can just try again tomorrow if my legs are too tired.

I just worked out at the gym today with all of the machines and free weights. I worked out my hip abductors and adductors as well as the knee physical therapy. I did a lot of stretching exercises afterwards. Tomorrow will be a 4.5'r

I have Asics 2150's also with an arch support insert from my foot doctors. I plan on seeing a sports ortho doctor also. I did run a half with the supports and haven't had any more foot pain, so maybe it was a good decision.

LOL..................LOVE IT! It makes you feel so well accomplished, I give this 21 thumbs up....LOL....well off to run 10 miles as Florida weather this morning is suprising gorgeous at 63 degress this morining in low 70's later....Catch you all later!.....OLympics here we come....LOL

Yes !! I like the Olympic fanfare theme song too! I will definitely put this on my ipod!

Do they play congratulatory music like that at the end of the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon??????:cheer2:

Just a note for those who wear Asics GT-2150 shoes... Those are being "upgraded" to GT-2160 shoes as of January 1. Because I'm in NYC I went to the Asics store, and they actually already had them, so I have 2 pair in reserve (my intent was to stock up on the 2150 model, but what the heck...besides, these were in different colors). They feel pretty much the same from trying them on - I'm waiting until after the WDW Half to switch. BUT if you really like your 2150 models, I'd try to get a couple more to have in reserve if they're working for you and don't want to risk changing too close to the event.

Not to mention, you can usually find good sales! :goodvibes

Very true! Especially since they'll be wanting to move their 2150s before the 2160s come in!

I actually just upgraded frm 1150s to 2150s last weekend, and got them for $64. They were on sale for $80 at a local sporting goods store, plus had a 20% off coupon.

Unfortunately, they sized me up one too many I think, as I felt like I was swimming in them and had some heat friction when I tried a short TM run last week. I will be exchanging for a half size down.

I don't like the colors much for the women's 2150s, but I really like the men's. I wear a large shoe for running shoes (10.5-11 for women's, 8.5ish for men's), and have wide flat feet, so I can usually choose either.

That makes me nervous! Just when I get a great shoe, they switch it!

I went to buy a new pair and they didn't have my size. I have one in blue and another in a salmon? Pinkish color. They look like new, but I have been running in them all summer.

I wonder what the NEW 2160 difference will be???
