Off to Neverland...A BOGO Trip Report! PG 44 ~ It's over

that last installment just brought tears to my eyes and i don't even have kids!!! :goodvibes

aw, lil diz man!!! im the oldest of a little brother, and i was 5 when he was born, so i can relate to your son. My mom and i would do little things when my brother would be napping. Or she would pick me up from school and take me to carvel for ice cream. He also had an earlier bed time than me, so for that extra hour (or extra magic hour if u will lol) my mom and i would play barbies (okay so it will be a little different with diz man haha) but that last hour of the night was definitely special because it also recognized that i was the older sister and that i deserved that extra hour of up-time. :)

In awe of your latest installment...very sweet and heartfelt...i'm so glad you got such wonderful mommy time with your little cutie!!! Cant wait for more trippie.

Awww...that was a great installment. I know what you mean about having some alone time with each child. My children are all 5 yrs apart(12,7,2)and it gets harder and harder to spend that special alone time. Ok, thats a lie, during the day me and my 2 yr old are home all alone. At night,it gets tricky.

We are going to Disney in June... I am going to try and at least take one of the older kids for a one on one for at least a couple of hours. I dont know how it will all work out, but I am going to try. You are right, it is a special time to see the sparkle and magic in the kids eyes:love:

That is just so sweet and your DS obviously had a wonderful time having Mummy all to himself, letting him choose everything is a wonderful thing to do we all get too wrapped up in doing everything!

If you can do one thing, I suggest you take your children one by one, alone for a bit of magic. Slow down…let them lead the way. Hang back, don’t rush. You will be rewarded, beyond your wildest dreams, as you watch the magic unfold in your child’s eyes…:cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Yes, Yes, Yes! :thumbsup2 I'll admit, I was really nervous about taking my DS by myself the first time, but it wound up being one of my favorite days of all time. :cloud9: I only have one, but even not having another adult with us made for a special time for just us. I'm so glad you got to experience that, too!

Thanks everyone! Being a mom is tough, by any standards...being a mom to more than 1 child...rough... add Tink...Then you need the bottle...

Just like many, many other moms, I do my best to give each bambino time. It really is hard though to try to give each child what they need and take care of the house, your husband and yourself...just hard.

Thank Goodness, we women were born to multi-task!

But seriously, Disney alone with my ds gave me a whole new outlook on what Magic really is...

So where do I go from here, now that I learned how much fun we have
together...

I'm Going to Disney World, alone with my Lil'l GUY!
:cloud9:

Yep, you read me correct...WDW here we come...alone with my Lil'l Diz Man!
(I'll start that TR after this one...I don't think I was given the multi-trip reporting gene...)

How exciting for you! I can't wait to read more :) I just have to say that I first came to the trip reports forum for inspiration for my own upcoming trip. I found some of the older completed reports and was blown away by the entertaining writing I found. That lead me to the ongoing reports and... well... here :hippie:

It's been a real pleasure getting to know you and your family and other DIS'ers via their reports, so thank you for sharing your travels :grouphug:

Enjoy that boy cuddlin and huggin on you now...my DS is 10 and we have a great time playing football while big sis is at practice after school but I got a rare hand holding on the way in to church tonight!

love the details, actually, love the lack of details this time, showing that you really did live in the moment and soaked in all the magic without trying to take notes! Thanks for making me feel like I was there with you! :thumbsup2

How true!! Alone time with each child is so rare - yet so needed!! You seriously have the cutest kids!!

Oh princessjv!

You've hooked me!

What a terrific trip report!

Thanks so much for writing this!

Oh wow you'll have a great time and he will remember the trip forever can't wait to hear all about it, do you go soon?

DLM has talked me into doing (well not really) her BF, TGM. So I'm going to join up and plug in my info and see what magically appears...well sometime in the fall. :)

Marion- I am so glad you are enjoying my report (and others...but mine best , right;) )! It means a lot that you have taken the time to respond to my report, along the way! I am sure you are the best mom & grammy around your parts. Your new grandbaby will be lucky to have you (not here yet...right?).

I'm eating it up... I already see little bits of not needing MOM and I tell you my heart is already breaking!

I tell my ds everyday that he will always be mommies baby...even when he is all grown up with kids, he is still my baby...and I will always need his love and hugs...always!

Yep, I'm trying to brain wash him...sellfish, yes. But I love him soo much!

Ack! Robert Munsch! I just CAN'T read that story without tearing up. None of the women in our family can. We get teased mercilessly by the males of the family. Although it must be noted THEY refuse to read this book themselves

On a related note, I betcha Tink would LOVE the book Mortimer....
