What mom’s dreams are made of…
We ended our meal for champions and high-tailed it out of there. Dh decided to bring Tink back to the room, since she didn’t have a real nap that day. He took the leisurely way back to the Boardwalk, by taking the Monorail to Epcot and walking back. I warned him that it would be a long trip, but he didn’t mind. They made it back just before the Illuminations display and were able to view some of the higher fireworks from our balcony.

Note to self…stay here again…what a dreamy view!
There were some hours
of extra special Magic going on over at the MK. I decided it would be a great time for a bit of Mommy time with my lil’l Diz Man. Since Tink was born, we don’t get as much special time as we would like. My little guy is a mommy’s boy and loves to hang out with me (and even like to snuggle with me). The issue comes in, that Tink just won’t have it…nope…I’m hers…in her eyes. I do my very best to ‘let her scream’ while Lil’l Diz Snuggles or we play a game or read a book… BUT there is just so much ‘screaming’ we can take. We both give up and he moves away, gives in to her little demands.
I know…it sucks…but I’m just doing the best I know how!
So tonight was all ours. I had him lead the way. He chose to ride the Monorail over and the whole way had the best smile on his face. When we arrived at the MK and were walking down the hill from the Monorail, he stopped me and said,
“Mom, I like that daddy and sissy aren’t here and that it is just us.”
Almost broke my heart…

I’m sorry my sweet boy…I wish we could have many, many more mommy days, than we have.
What rides we went on and in what order is beyond me. In all honesty, I wasn’t paying much attention to the rides. I simply was enjoying my sons face & holding his hand as we walked through the park. As we passed each ride, I would ask if he wanted to ride it. I remember that he wanted to ride just about everyone we passed. I know that we did the BTMRR & Saw Johnny & the Pirates. On our way out, we stopped and got a treat at the Bakery, to bring home for dad, since he didn’t get to come out with us.
The whole entire evening was Magic. It was Disney at it’s best, bringing families together. Allowing this mom to watch the expression on my sons face, as he saw Tinkerbell ‘fly’ from the castle. I was the lucky recipient of soft kisses on my cheek during Wishes. I got the opportunity to hold my son’s hand as we walked down Main Street USA. I a mom, from somewhere…showing my son that the world is Magical…If only for a few hours…
But with this…I will have a lifetime of memories…
If you can do one thing, I suggest you take your children one by one, alone for a bit of magic. Slow down…let them lead the way. Hang back, don’t rush. You will be rewarded, beyond your wildest dreams, as you watch the magic unfold in your child’s eyes…
A picture of my precious son, after our evening of magic…
