We usually go in January when the crowds are low and weather is cool, sometimes warm. I, personally would not mind a little warmer weather and would like to go in late October, early November. I was there once in October but too long ago and I can't remember what the crowds were like.

Here is the scope: It is just DH & I. We would probably do parks in the morning, leave around noon and go back to enjoy SSR. Maybe have lunch early dinner at DTD or a resort and go back to the park for a parade or just hang out at the resort. We would not stay at the parks all day. Or maybe we would find something outside Disney. Our stay would be 9 or 10 nights. Would the crowds/weather have any bearing on our stay based on how we would spend our time? Would it be too much of a shock going at that time when we are used to January or early December?

TIA!

Considering that you haven't been for the Food and Wine or Halloween festivities, I think that going in late October will be a real treat. Epcot is very crowded on weekends, but I think that's a small price to pay for the fun things that are offered, both to do and to eat.

We are planning family vacation '09, and I was thinking of May, to introduce family to the Flower and Garden things, but today, I find myself leaning toward the fall dates, like we're doing this year. Exactly why the October points are less than the May ones is hard for me to figure out, unless it's because October is still hurricane season.

I think it would be really nice to try a different season. Should have good pool weather, F&W, MNSSHP. However, if you're thinking of this Oct/Nov you'll have a very difficult time finding a place to stay.

We usually go the thursday after election day in Nov. this year 8-13, Great time of year, first few days is the end of Food & Wine, Then on the 12th we are doing the christmas party, that is a great way to kick off the holiday season. Off course during this time you must get ressie early due to Jersey Week!.

The weather last year was great in the low 80's during the day, low 70's at night. No rain at all. I believe that Nov is usually one of the most rain free months.

Good luck with your plans!

We usually go in October, as our schools take a 3 day break for the teachers' union convention. We love F&W at Epcot, although it does make the park crowded. MNSSHP is a fabulous treat for our kids, although I would stay away from the MK on the days it's happening there, choosing another park during the day, and going over to MK in the evening to avoid crowds.

On the other hand, I can't think of a time I've gone to WDW and haven't enjoyed it...:goodvibes

We go every year to F & W, but 'til now, always in October. This year, we're going at the beginning of November to try for cooler weather; last year, it was unbearably hot during our October trip. :sad2: Other years have been much less hot. :goodvibes

(I know, there are no guarantees..................:rolleyes1 )
