The situation with my nephews got a lot worse after my son was born. I was never sure if it went bad as they went to high school or because of my attention on Spencer. Or if it was that they just had a bad upbringing the first 12 years of their lives.

They taught me a very important lesson - kids really learn their ethics, behavaviour, respect at a young age.....you cant start teaching them these things at 12 or 13 years old. I think we helped them get through those tough years but it was difficult. They are good boys - I just wish they had been able to make a few better decisions (such as not dropping out of high school).

From the posts - it seems that you have a good relationship with both of your step-kids. Do they get along with youngest?

For the most part yes the get along with the youngest. It was hard when she was born, that is when everything fell apart, but now that she is a little older and can play with them, they are good with her. Thank goodness

That kicks but, pretty decent seat for it if we get there on time!

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement!!:grouphug: With each day DH seems a little better!!!

...Hmm I just looked at my account. I have a feeling it's because of the green Mickey head..... I guess we can't do this then. My only other suggestion is that we decide on a logo and then you can print it on an iron transfer and put it on your own t-shirts. Any other suggestions???
Go figure. :headache:

What a bummer........we'll come up with something!!!

.....Last night we came home with a brand new Toyota Highlander! I love it! Cheryl

Way to go Cheryl.....ENJOY!:yay:

There may be a work around. I notice my company buys enough clothes for giveaways that we are actually an authorized wholesaler. Crazy. Anyways the goods are at www.amtex.com which redirects to a new company called broder. I just checked and looks like there is a ton of Fruit of the Loom shirts and other brands as well, darn near every color imaginable and youth sizes too. The Tee's look to cost about $.90 - 3.00 depending on color and style. I could download a PDF of the catalog and pass it around.
If everyone puts an order together prolly take me a week to get it and if you send me a finished logo I can run it over to the printers for silk screening. I can't imagine them chargin me more than $25-50 for art fees and probably $1-3 per shirt for printing, there are not many colors to silk in the logo really.
Anyways I would be happy to front the order and ship the finished product to whomever is best capable to distribute it. Silk screening would last longer the the iron ons. :thumbsup2

Let me know if I can help. Again I would be more than happy to scan the catalog and post it tonight if I cant find it on the site for download. They got a ton of stuff, looks like good prices too; even the heavier sports shirts and denims look about $4-6.
John

The $25-$50 art fee is for the whole order correct? A cost that would be divided up among the number of shirts ordered? Sounds like a possibility!:thumbsup2

Put my cheeseburger smile on :rolleyes1

It was sweet looking before, now it's sweet and makes for a warm fuzzy feeling. :goodvibes

How cool!!!!! Can we make a magnetic sign big enough??.....Maybe we can place it after wine tasting........:rolleyes1

Well I did it - I cant believe it. When we booked our cruise at the end of March, I got on the DIS Boards and started reading through all the different threads. After a week or so, I found this thread.....

I must admit I skimmed some pages, some had lots of pictures, and the pages when someone "got a page" were always really quick to review.....but in the end, I think I got most of the talk......

I have got to say -that I absolutely love all of this stuff - the friendships are amazing, the help and support we all give each other is just wonderful. I get more excited about this trip everyday.

I better get back to work....talk again soon.
Jessalynn

I couldn't agree more!!! I felt exactly the same way when I jumped in not so long ago! The fun is contageous and I'm sure this will be one of the best cruises we have taken so far!!!

There is no way I can catch up with all the ridiculous chatter you people manage in the course of a week. :rotfl2: Congrats on passing the 10,000 post mark! :yay:

Just wanted to let you know that Jay and I made it home safely a few hours ago and are already back in the grind...bills, laundry, yardwork.

We had a great trip and definitely have some funny stories to share...some day I will tell you all how I managed to walk into the men's room at Raglan Road before even having a single drop of alcohol. Now that takes talent! :lmao:

I hope everyone who needed some good wishes this week got them...here is a general "dust stuff" offering for all the cruisers on this thread: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Welcome back Brenda and Jason....I'm sure it was a fabulous trip!!!!:flower3:

That kicks but, pretty decent seat for it if we get there on time!

Way cool!!! That's what my boys said when I showed them this picture and told them of the possibility of seeing a launch!!! I hope it's a go!!!!:cool1:

Ok, I've had enough...

I too, said back in January that I only need to lose 30 lbs and I'm going to hit the eliptical every day.

Just like Cass said, If I would have stuck to it then I'd be down 30 lbs by now.

Well after this past week... Oh my gosh!

Our daughter & her boyfriend came home this past weekend for her birthday. When she came home on Friday, she brought with her a birthday cake from her co-workers. Her boyfriend surprised her with a birthday cake from her favorite bakery. And she told us she wanted a Dairy Queen Cake for her b-day.

Soooo... We had 3 cakes to eat. By Monday, we had eaten almost 2 of them. By Tuesday, I was sick of cake, so I ate healthy that day.

On Wed., at work, a co-worker was retiring. We had a department picnic at lunch. Our boss bought us Pizza and Buster Bars from Dairy Queen. And what else did we have? CUPCAKES! NOOOOO!

Thursday we had a company party all day and what did we have? CAKE! Sugar high! :headache:

Today there was a ton of cake left, so guess what we had. MORE CAKE! There was one girl in our office drinking alka seltzer all day.

One co-worker said I think I had 9 cupcakes in 2 days.

I'm ashamed to say... I think I beat her.

Guess what I'm doing from now until the cruise.
ELLIPTICAL 6 DAYS A WEEK!

Time to hit Konked Kruiser.

Robin

The first disney cruise we took there was a shuttle on the launch pad and we could see it sitting there from the ship in dock. You should definitely be on the ship by 12:50 to not miss the launch if it is still a go by then. I hope we don't tip the ship over when everyone runs to the one side to watch the launch!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Welcome back Brenda and Jason. Can't wait to hear the funny stories.

I hear ya Robin! About 2 months ago, I made cupcakes for a party. Hardly anyone ate them. I hadn't had cupcakes in about 5 years...I tried one, then my pregnant sister (at least she had an excuse lol!) had one, then we just kept taking turns till they were gone  Then we sat down on the couch and both looked at each other and said "I can't believe I just ate 6 cupcakes!!!" :lmao:  No wonder I stayed away from them for 5 years LOL! :rotfl:

I've only lost about 7 lbs so far but I am proud of myself cus I have stayed away from ALL junk food for 3 weeks now. No chocolate bars, no chips, no cake, no cookies, no burgers, no fries, no pizza, no chocolate danishes from Tim Hortons (a sinfully delicious pastry that my BAD husband introduced me to in March and that I couldn't stop eating until 3 weeks ago! :sad1: (these are even better than the chocolate croissants on the ship!))

I have even cut my portion sizes by at least a quarter, haven't had a nibble after supper (which has been painfully difficult since I stay up till 3 am most nights! :scared1: ) and have done one hour on my elliptical at least 4 times each week (working on 5 this week!).

I NEED to lose some weight for WDW, not for vanity's sake but for my health. I have a bad back and walking around WDW for 10 days in the heat with an extra 30 lbs will kill me !:scared:

I am on the right track now (finally, it only took me 5 months! :headache: ) and with all the support from you losers :lmao: I am SURE I can do it!

So, good luck all you losers :cool1: Great job so far!!! And thanks to Jeff for making the KK loser database on the site, it makes it easy to keep track of our losses!

Yeah,

That Rob loves his junkfood. I remember pirate night on the last cruise. How does he stay so thin? Lucky dog.

Robin

Robin

I know eh? Bugger! He eats ten times what I do and he's a skinny punk! :sad2: He has hypoglycemia and burns through his calories fast! I made him do my elliptical 2 years ago, he did 12 minutes before he almost died :lmao: He has NO IDEA what it's like to diet, these past 3 weeks I could kill him sometimes. We will be watching a show at night and he will get up and get some ice cream, or donuts and eat them right in front of me. Then he's like "what?? oh...want some??" :sad2:

The ONLY thing I asked him to do to help me out is to NOT bring home any chocolate danishes, since I am just weak when it comes to those things. What does he do?? Yup, he brought one home, I could have killed him :headache: But I told myself "Cass, you are stronger than a chocolate danish!" :woohoo:

Besides, when you are doing one hour on the elliptical, you really don't want to eat badly!

I know he doesn't do these things to be mean, he just doesn't understand how hard it is to diet, he's never been on one!

Am I all alone here? Am I the only one of us that doesn't have a life beyond husband, kids, and Disboards? :lmao:

No, I am here. I have no life besides the kid. She is already in bed and the DH is working tonight so it is just me and the:surfweb:

Just a tease

For all of you who have been asking what my dis tag items are I just want to give you all a clue. We have said we only need 19, but I will need 20, I want one of my own gifts. :rolleyes1

Just an update on Mike.

He was released from ICU today. He was moved into his own room. YIPPY:banana: He is now in stable condition. He still has not spoken. He moans but that is it, he has not written either. They do believe that he might have had a stroke while in ICU because his whole left side is extremly weak. They said he will have to undergo extensive rehabe and it can be 6 months to a year before they see how much of the "old Mike" they get back.

Thank you for your prayers and please keep praying for a easy recovery for him. The prayers are what have made him get this far.
