Even though I was laid off, I am going ahead with my cruise plans so far. I did our check-in on Sunday. We have the 11-11:30 port check-in. I also booked Palo Brunch on Thursday at 12:30 and the Eco Hike for my DH and DD when we are at St. John. DD has almost completed her Masters in Entomology and really wanted to do this. Plus, the trip is a graduation present for her (her first cruise).
I know in St. John we can take the tram to the top of the mountain and that the butterfly farm is within walking distance.
Can anybody please recommend other free, or nearly free things to do in St. John and St. Marten? Where is the closest beach and how do we get to it on both islands? If I am still unemployed or have recently gone back to work, I am going to want to keep spending to a minimum. Thankfully, we have $400 in onboard credit from Disney & Dreams that will cover most of what I have planned so far.
By the time this cruise gets here, I am really going to need it.
