Barb: I have 2 gingerbread cookie recipes. One of them makes a lot of cookies and the other one only 12 or so. Of course it all depends on the size of your cookie cutter. That was so sweet of your girls!

I am going to leave road trips to the people who have a clue about where you live!

It is still raining. As of 7 Pm last night we have had the rainiest August in history and we have 10 days left. We have had over 8" of rain. It is supposed to rain on and off all week.

We have a co-worker of Jerry's coming over this evening. She lives in Albany, NY and is flying in for work. They have a 2-day team building thing that starts tomorrow and goes ALL day and then Thursday. Kaleigh and I are fending for ourselves tomorrow. Anyway, we met Mary in Disney in May. She has 2 little girls. They are DVC members so she and Jerry are always talking Disney. Jerry is picking her up from the airport and bringing her here and then will take her to her hotel later on.

Sandy: I hope your friends are safe. A cat 5 hurricane is definitely scary. Have fun shopping!

Barb: Is your wound infected? Maybe you should have it looked at by a doctor. Sorry about your carpet!

How did the cookies turn out Denine?

Went out to dinner last night to celebration Devon's first day of kindergarten. Then home and watched High School Musical 2.

Watching Ethan tonight while Missy works.

Good morning. I had to take yesterday off as I had a horrible migraine which turned out to be a side effect of Claritin. I will never ever take that stuff again. It was the worst migraine I have had ever. I had to wait for it to get out of my system and then my headache went away.

Chris told me good news yesterday, he told me that he took off the Thursday before we leave and we talked about it and are now leaving a day earlier and will be on the airplane with my sister's family. Now that leaves us with one and a half days at Disney. Problem is that all the value rooms are booked up for that day so we may have to spend one night with my parents if there isn't any cancellations.

Heidi: It is always good to spend more time in WDW! Hope you can find a room!

Barb: I will send you both recipes.

Humid and cloudy today. Expecting thunderstorms later. I have a meeting at work this afternoon and then Kaleigh and I are going to MCD's for dinner. Jerry has meetings all day and then they are leaving at 3 to go bowling and then they are having dinner at a yacht club and then they are going out on the bosses yacht from 7 -9 PM. Kaleigh is not happy that she won't see daddy today.

Enjoyed Mary's visit yesterday although Kaleigh monopolized her. Kaleigh gave her a picture and a gingerbread cookie. Jazzy made a new friend and when Jerry came home from taking Mary to her hotel, Jazzy looked at him like where is my friend? She was petting me!

I am looking forward to Friday. Jerry is working from home and I don't have to go to work!

Heidi: Too bad about your migraine. Glad you feel better. Jerry took all his migraine meds with him to work today because of the meetings.

Need to make more tomato sauce today. I picked lots yesterday!

Barb: The cookies turned out great. Kaleigh does a great job decorating. She ate 3 cookies that day!

Hi guys, I am staying busy with just doing this and that. Nothing too important. We have a 60th wedding anniversary to attend this weekend so I was out buying decorations and tablecloths. Which reminds me, I have to get out my punch bowl. Heidi, make sure that I pack that!!

Denine, sounds like you are really keeping busy with tomatoes. I don't have a garden but would love to!

Denine-Sounds like a fun day for you and Kaleigh. Doesn't sound like you are getting the extreme rain like a lot of Ohio is getting right now.

Sounds like Playa Del Carmen (where our friends live) was spared the brunt of the storm but Costa Maya got it bad. Now where will DCL go?

I just got back from the health clinic here at work. The wound started bleeding and bled for an hour. She managed to get it stopped but is sending me to another dr to have a biopsy done she thinks it skin cancer.

Oh no Barb. Make sure you get that treated quickly. My mom had some skin cancer spots burned off. Hugs to you.

Ted just surprised me with an iPod and travel speakers. Heidi played a grand part in getting it together. From ordering to putting songs on it and wrapping. Guess what....it is lime green. What a perfect color for a DISboard addict!

Your welcome mom. Dad really wanted to do it for you after you were talking about it when Stacey got the speakers. There is other things you can have with your Ipod like a transmitter so you can play it in your car, Stacey has one.

Denine - how is the weather out there today? It is supose to be 80 and raining today.

Barb: I am glad you got your wound checked out. I was going to ask you about it yesterday and forgot. I didn't like that it wasn't even close to healing. I was going to mention it again today that you need to see a doctor about it. My mom has had several skin cancers removed from her face. If it is CA, hopefully it isn't melanoma. The squamos cell is easier to treat and is more common.

Sandy: I don't have a garden either. I have tomato plants tucked in among my other plants. I have to go out and pick more today.

Barb: Did you get the 1 recipe I sent you? I have to type in the other.

Heidi: How nice of Ted and you to get your mom the ipod thingy.

Thankfully the massive flooding has stayed to the south of us. They got about 9" of rain in 1 day. Expecting scattered Tstorms tody and 90 and very humid. Very unstable air.

Kaleigh enjoyed her outing with me yesterday. Jerry got home about 9:30 last night. Kaleigh wasn't asleep yet, so she got to see daddy for a bit. At least he will be home normal time today.

Barb, both Heidi and I have had the "c" scare. Of course, Heidi's was much worse than my skin cancer could ever be. It is a scary word that is for sure.

Denine, I sure think of you everytime I hear about the Ohio flooding. I am glad that you and Julie are safe!

Heidi, STUPID question. On the iPod, how can a person charge it on the cruise? Another one, isn't it kind of scary carrying it in your purse when the "wheel" is exposed? Should I get an enclosed case to put the iPod in even with the clear plastic cover? I DO want the plastic cover that you can touch the hold button. I will have to get with you on that soon. By the way, great choice of music!!

Ted's colonoscopy is today. The forecast is for GOLF ball size hail. We will be right on the border of it. I pray that we can get back in time. It is for 3:00.

OMG, it better not hail that big. I don't get off until 3:30 and I have to stop by the bank before I get home.

Mom - I have a travel charger that you can use to charge your Ipod (it plugs into the wall), or we can get you one off ebay. I always have mine in my purse with the wheel exposed, it doesn't hurt it to have it exposed.
