Good Afternoon!

Back from dropping Tiffany off in Tulsa. Boy oh boy we thought it was hot in Colorado. It was 105 in Tulsa. BLAH! Didn't get home until 3:00am so decided to miss another day of work. Didn't want to but don't think I could have functioned on 1 and a half hours of sleep.

Tiffany called today and said that the electricty was off for 5 hours today at ORU. No air conditioning!! I don't know how they survived.

Things should get quiet around here.... now that I think of it not so much we still have a 2 year old living here!

Missy is working tonight and we are babysitting guess I should get going

Denine-You have the best ideas for hands on learning.

Heidi-How are things with Chris?

Barb - Chris and I are much better and we had a very long conversation. Thank you so much for asking. I am glad you made it home safely. Poor Tiffany, that would be miserable. Good choice on staying home another day, I am sure you wouldn't have been all that productive being that tired.

Good morning. Last day for the audit. I am hoping I can get off by noon and then I will take all day off tomorrow. I cannot wait for some time off!!!

Good Morning!

Back at work. Yipee! Funny how I always feel guilty when I am off like I should not be using the vacation time. But it was a nice break.

I finished Tiffany's afghan on the way to Tulsa. YAY I get to cross off one more thing on my "To Do" list.

My fall Missionette class starts on Sunday. I have a lot of things I want to do this week to get ready. It makes me sad that I wil be starting a this year without Tiffany. I sure do miss her.

Glad the audit is almost over for you Heidi. Any fun plans for tomorrow?

Our new Pastor started on Sunday. He will speak for 3 weeks then the church will vote on him. I really liked him. He is from Texas and has 2 young kids.

Barb: Glaf you got Tiffany to school safely. Even I have to say that 105 without AC is hot! I don't get the credit for the hands on learning ideas. They all come from the program I buy.

Sandy: Never even heard of peanut butter play dough. I think I would eat it! :rotfl2: I love those musical cards. I just wish they would put them with the regular cards because I forget about them until I see them after I have already purchased regular cards. I may have to go back and get Kaleigh one for her birthday even though I already have a regular card.

Kaleigh had a blast with the play dough. It was much softer than regular play dough and she got her hands all messy for a change. She hates messy hands! She was having so much fun just squishing it and using her play dough toys with it. It was a good ending to the school week.

Heidi: Hope you survive your last day of the audit. Enjoy your time off.

So, do we need to post ideas for the gift exchange this year? I know Barb already purchased her gift so she doesn't need any ideas.

We have a Mickey office
I have a Pooh and grape kitchen
I love Cinderella
Kaleigh loves all princesses

Work tomorrow and Saturday is clean the house day since I have kindergarten all week. Then Saturday evening is our night at our friends to play cards and get home at 3 AM. At some point, maybe tomorrow evening, we need to stain the swingset.

Good idea Denine about posting ideas for the gift exchange. I really don't have themed rooms in my house (not that organized) but I do love Pooh and Tinkerbell. My favorite color is purple, but I have been acquiring a lot of bright pink stuff and love it....maybe will become my new favorite color???!!! I love anything that is "tropical", beaches, palm trees, beach chairs, etc. I can't think of anything else right now.

Barb - I hope to lay out at the pool, make cinnamon swirl bread, and do nothing!!!! Oh ya I also hope to watch Big Brother Late Night!! Maybe garage sale too while on my way to getting a vanilla cherry coke slurpee.

Wow, Heidi. The way you described our day tomorrow. I can't wait!

Denine, that is the reason for the peanut butter play dough.....so you CAN eat it.

Barb, I heard about your new minister. He looks and appears to be very nice.

Hmmmm, let's see. I love Jiminy (duh) and also Mickey. No themed rooms (too expensive for me). I love palm trees and flip flops. Blue seems to be my favorite color but lime green is a close second.

I have one thing to say about Christmas.....how can anyone buy for Julie and Denine since they practically live at WDW? Then there is Barb, running close behind them in WDW visits!!

I LOVE being in that count!!!

Saturday night the friends that are going to Disney with us in December come over on their way back to North Carolina. They have never been to Disney so I made Disney packets with a calander of Disney days, all the dinner reservations, Disney tips and some information on Disney Dining. I made them in the form of a scrap book and tied the pages together with cute ribbon. I had maps, a photo pass, lanyard, water bottle thingy, Disney books, and a Disney ticket so they would have visuals of everything. I bet they thought I had lost my mind. :rotfl:

I am putting together all my Fall Missionette stuff right now. I have a zillion information pages to make packets out of.

Barb: You are so organized to have all that stuff put together!

Heidi: Your time off sounds good to me. Lately I have been wishing I was on the deck of a cruise ship sipping a tropical drink while soaking up the sun.

Sandy: Well then, you need to give me the recipe for the peanut butter play dough!

Sandy: See that is the problem with WDW, I always want more stuff! My disney shopping order was shipped yesterday! :lmao:

We stained the swing set last night. We wore ourselves out, but it looks good and now it protected from the winter weather. Now I just need to get my butt in gear today and get something done.

Only in the low 70's this weekend. At least it isn't windy like yesterday. Man, was it windy!

I guess I will sign off for now.

Denine - glad you got the swing set stained!!! One less thing you have to have on your list.

Barb - you are so created, I bet they really enjoyed it. I wish I had your energy.

Had a good weekend but didn't do everything as planned. I never got to sit around the pool and soak up the sun, but did get to play in my sister's new hot tub. Yesterday had a busy day with grocery shopping, laundry and a few other things, it was so busy!!!

We are trying not to float away! We got over an inch of rain yesterday and are supposed to get 1-3 more inches today. I am going with the closer to 3" mark seeing as how much it is raining! We are getting the remnants of Erin. It was only 61 on Saturday!

We have gingerbread cookie dough in the fridge chilling. Kaleigh keeps asking me when it will be ready. Finally next week we get into some stuff that she doesn't already know, I think.

Heidi: Too bad you didn't get to sit around the pool.

Kaleigh keeps wanting to know when we are going to the fair. THe next one starts tomorrow and we can't go until maybe Thursday. We will see.

I made 2 kinds of sauces with my tomatoes yesterday. I put them in the freezer and am looking for more sauces to make so I have a variety come winter.

That is it for now.

Denine-Would you please send me your recipe for Gingerbread cookies and if you have any tips that would help I would appreciate that too. I would like to make them this year in my class. At home Gingerbread is usually a disaster.

Good Afternoon!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Last night started my Fall Missionettes. I was thinking my class would be about 10 girls this year but NOOOOO I have about 18!! I really thought with them getting older they would want to move on. It was soooo good to see them again. I really love my girls. At the end of class I let the girls ask me questions. One of them asked me what I did for a job. I explained how I take escalated calls. The girls decided I needed a hug so they all ran up and were hugging me saying we "We love you Miss Barb" I was very choked up :sad1:
I love working with these amazing girls.

Saturday My Mom and I went to an all day Disney scrapbook class. Afterwards Bob and I went to dinner then to a friends house to play cards. After we got home I was trying to put some iodine on a wound that will not heal and knocked the bottle over on my white carpet. I was really having a meltdown. I have had this wound for over 2 weeks. I think it is right on some blood vessals because it bleeds and bleeds then I stained the carpet. I have no idea how to treat the carpet.

Heidi-Sounds like a nice relaxing weekend for you. You really needed it after the audit. :cool2: Sure seems like you and your Mom see Stacey a lot more then you did when she lived in Denver plus with you spending the weekends with her I bet the quality is better then when you would just drop by. Did stacey do another Holiday this weekend?

Ok I need help. I have decided that next spring Tiffany and I are going to take a Mother Daughter road trip and I am not sure where to go or what to do. I have a hard time seeing past Disney!:lmao:

If can't be to long and I don't want to spend a fortune. I do have a sister in New Mexico and one in Texas thought about traveling there but BORING! Colorado is a state that has blah states around it. When you live in the East there are a lot of fun exciting places driveable. Not sure what I am looking for. Art, History, Spa...... Just want it to be fun and different.

Barb - your girls seem so sweet, glad they could give you a hug..you deserve it because I bet your job is crazy stressful. I couldn't handle people yelling at me all day. For your carpet, have you tried Lift Off? I love that stuff: http://www.liftoffinc.com/products.htm#

I think you should go to a Bed and Breakfast up in the mountains. It would be a road trip and there are some beautiful places that are reasonable. In Utah there is Moab which I think is beautiful, it has canyons and the arches. 4 Corners? Mesa Verde? Glenwood Springs? Too cold for rafting, probably too cold for other places I mentioned because I forgot there probably will be snow on Spring Break!!! You can drive to Vegas, it is about a 10-12 hour drive (depending on how fast you drive). In Vegas you can see the Hoover Dam, do tons of shopping, and see really cool stuff the casinos have for free. Hmmm, what else?

Barb - I forgot to add that the theme for last weekend that my sister did was Pirates. They did a treasure hunt, played some games, and showed the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Heidi- I have used Lift off the last time I got paint on my carpet and thanks to my good friend Heidi who told me about it it all came off! I didn't know they had Lift off for iodine too!

I know Stacey was sad she had to move but she is AWESOME in this job! She really has a gift. I wish I could play too!! I bet she is like a breath of fresh air with all the hard work she is doing. Way to go Stacey!!!!!

Good morning everyone. Off to shop with Stacey and kids. I am very worried about our new friends in Playa Del Carmen. I pray that they are safe during Hurricane Dean.

Good Morning

Not much new here. I am working on Jaymee's afghan. Looks like another hot day. BLAH!
