October 10-12???

Gosh, we really, really wanted to do a short weekend trip to go to the Food & Wine Festival (never been). But all the resorts are booked for the weekend! No AP discounts, nothing! What gives! Why is everything booked? Is it really SOLD out? Any suggestions? I'm so frustrated! I don't want to stay off site!

I Was Just On Wdw Website And There Are Hotels Available- Coronado Came Up For Those Nights For A Reasonable Price- Others Were Available Also-good Luck!

All Epcot resorts should be full at this point:

* Food and Wine (you can walk to Epcot)
* Gartner starts on the 12th (many come in on the 11th)
* Jewish Holiday on Oct 9th
* Columbus day

Sorry, if this is a stupid question, but what is Gartner? What's really frustrating me that the few rooms that are available are not showing an AP discount even though on the calendar the discount is for that time frame.

Is could also be that youre looking to stay on property less then 2 weeks out. Theres been 12 differant discount codes for that time frame (Oct-Dec. code, free dining codes, drive from GA/AL/SC codes, etc, etc, etc, etc,etc,etc,etc,etc) F&W, Halloween party, Columbus day

I know..I know...you guys are right, I was just hoping for a silver lining! Usually, our last minute trips have always been our best and we didn't think we would be able to go to the food & wine festival this year with our crazy schedule but next weekend opened up so we decided to go. I'm not sure what to do. Stay off site? Pay full rack rate? I was hoping for a value resort (I know LONG SHOT!!!)
