Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Looking great!

I happen to see my tags in the sneak peak. It looks like mu43-5's name might be spelled wrong. Its hard to read but it looks like "Tony" -- it should be "Toni" (that's my Mom). (And, mu43-4 should be "Russ" -- I think this one is right but it looks a little like "Ross" -- hard to tell at this resolution.)

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

:) I'm glad you noticed that...Russ is correct but you are right about Toni being spelled Tony. I have pulled that tag out to fix!

I will take more screenshots and post them all up so that everyone can preview their tags and make sure I got everything right before I start printing! :goodvibes

These look great - but I want to see mine!!!! :yay:

I just worked an 11 hour day!! I am so freakin tired!! But, when I can buy that extra "Miami Vice"at the sailaway party, I will be happy!!!!

I got it!!

How about I start the list for "Fish Extender Group B"? Leslie, when you see this you can feel free to take over - or I can continue it . . .

mandymouse, do you have your stateroom number yet?

So far we have:
mandymouse ( Nuneaton U.K. ) Mandy & DH Paul [ GTY 11 ]
Dinner Seating = LATE

SweetDolly ( Chicago, IL ) Angela, DH Kevin, DS Jackson ( 6 ) and DS Charley ( 6 months ) [ 7538 ]
Dinner Seating = LATE

If anyone wants to be on both lists, let me know!

I will be happy to be on both lists.

Linda

I'm having a hard time taking screenshots of the tags at a decent viewable size. If I zoom them up large only 6 fit on a screenshot and I will be here forever. If I keep them medium but use my magnifier to zoom in, resolution is horrible. I will probably do the latter but they are hard to read being so blurry. Rest assured they do not look like that. I will post one up full size (below) so you can see the detail as well. If anyone has any trouble reading their tags to confirm spelling let me know and I'll verify with you! :goodvibes

Will be back with the previews soon!

CROCS:

I have been wearing these for years. (Very, very flat feat and before Crocs, I could only wear athletic shoes with custom orthotics!) New Crocs have decent treads on them and I rarely slip with them. I wouldn't suggest running on wet pavement/flooring in them, but given those conditions I have slipped in most other types of shoes including athletic shoes with really good treads.

However, older crocs can have the treads nearly worn off - these are downright dangerous! I just fell 3 or 4 weeks ago wearing one of my oldest pairs. I hadn't checked them in a while and was walking down a wet, wooden staircase. I still have a few bruises!

Keep in mind that there are many styles of Crocs and not all of them are super-comfortable. The original clogs have the best support - the footbed is designed to be orthotic and they sort of mold to the shape of your foot after you have worn them for a while. Some of the sandles are pretty good also. I even have a pair of Crocs "work" shoes that look like a regular shoe and have a wedge heal. They work better for me than other "real" shoes, but are no where near as comfortable as the original Crocs.

Probably more info than anyone really wanted :rotfl2:

I agree with everything you've said. I've worn crocs for years (got a pair just after they came out); I've also got lots of knock offs (because yes, I do need a pair in every single colour).

If going for a knock off, I recommend the Airwalks (which were available at Payless).

Once the shoes have any wear on the bottom, they can get very slippery. The good news is that crocs don't take long to "break in" (unlike many other styles of shoes) so if you got a pair and wore them a week before the cruise they would probably be okay (good tread but already comfie).

I have the "regular" crocs, a pair of the mary janes, a pair of the two strap sandels and a pair of slip on shoe style (not big and bulky at all).

My recommendation though would be to have another pair of shoes as a back up. My Dad who loves his crocs - I've made him purchase a pair of deck shoes to wear and I'm not sure I'm even going to wear/bring mine.

The cruise ship is the last place I want a silly accident.

BTW, I've also heard the same thing about flip flops - they should be avoided on the ship's (see Janice - I'm learning - ship not boat) pool areas since the water can make the surface very slippery.

Sorry, this will clutter up the thread but....;) Please double check my spelling, and let me know if I need to make any corrections! Thanks!!! (find your tags by username beneath each picture. They are in alphabetical order. Also since they did not all fit on the screen magnified, please check each screenshot (#2 shows the edges that did not fit on #1, etc.) Also to see it slightly larger click on the pics to open in photobucket and then click on zoom in the upper righthand corner.

Thanks! :)Jen

Welcome!

NFL games can be seen in Diversions sports bar and in the Promenade Lounge. They also show Monday Night Footbal on the DumboTron by the Goofy pool.

I'm actually hoping to see the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series during our cruise.:goodvibes

Thank you!

I guess clicking them won't open in photobucket...sorry! :confused3 Don't know why that isn't working but here is the direct link in case anyone needs it. These are in my main album.

Jen,
They look great :worship:! I can't wait to see them in person! :yay:

I sent out the following message via PM to all the families that have teens. If you didn't get a PM then I don't have you on my list. Please let me know and I will add your family.

I am in the process of creating a DCL Halloween Teens FaceBook account, this is a separate FB account specifically for this cruise and not a group created off an existing account.

It seemed to be the best way to allow all the teens to communicate, share photos, etc. For the moment, the group will be open and not by invitation only, but that can be changed if we think it makes more sense to do so.

I will be sending out emails, PMs, and a post on this thread probably later tonight. Please let your teens know, so we can get a big response from the very beginning.

Thanks for your paticipation,

Jeff
