Heeeeeeey, would it be possible to get your bat, ghost and pumpkin images?

Of course! I found them in Milliepie's photobucket. She has some great Halloween stuff!

linda just walked past me, on her way out the door to the pool for the last time this summer, and says to me: "do you ever get tired of reading the disboards?"

:welcome: aboard! We are glad to have you sailing with us!

Yes I can certainly add the children to the Trick or Treat! The cutoff on that one is more flexible than the lanyards...:thumbsup2

In the case of the lanyards I have already started the order process. But I may have some extras when all is said and done (I did order a few extra just in case some are damaged or something happens). So keep an eye out here in a few weeks when I have everything assembled I will let everyone know if I have extras and if so how many and then the free for all will start. It will be first come first serve on those. :)

Glad to see our little family growing larger by the day! :goodvibes

Thank you, should we be bringing candy or ??? If so for how many. Also, what does FE stand for? Sorry to sound so uninformed. I am really new to DisBoards. Love all the advice.

I am making t-shirts for my family using the same cruise logo that is on the lanyards. The kids are wearing white t-shirts, and I am hoping to convince DH to wear a black t-shirt with me. I have both types of transfer paper and have already printed out the transfers for the kids t-shirts.

I was hoping to add something to the back of the shirts. Like a concert tour list, with the dates and port stops listed. Unfortunately, I do not have graphic or design software and the capabilities of my computer to do such a thing is, well, non-existant. Plus, I'm not that talented in that area really.

I was wondering if someone else may have already done this, and if so, could you share the design with me?

On a second topic, welcome to all our new cruisers! I am continuously amazed by how large our group has grown and I am so glad that I have the unique opportunity to talk with so many of you prior to the cruise!

I can do the itinerary for you. I've already done it for one of my FE items. If you PM me your email address, I can send it along.

I thought I would let you know about our weekend away, we just arrived back from Liverpool late yesterday evening.

I appreciate not everyone will have a clue what I'm talking about, but we are huge soccer fans in our house, especially Seren who is 11 next week. We had planned a trip to Liverpool for a few weeks so we could watch a game, but we got really lucky and won Seren a package to be a mascot for the game. She was so made up, Liverpool are are huge club over here - I guess it would be like being a mascot for the Cowboys or the Patriots (no offence intended - read into that your favourite team!).

We didn't know which player she would get, but we knew it would be a once in a lifetime experience. We had such a great day, we had a day at the club, and then she completely lucked out and got to be Steven Gerrard's mascot - he is one of the biggest soccer players in the UK, and captain's the England team at the moment too. He is Seren's hero, and I am just so excited for her that she got to meet him and walk out onto the pitch with him. Anyway, here are some pictures....

I am a football fan. What a wonderful opportunity for your Seren to be on the pitch with Steven Gerrard. That said, I think it could only be topped by being on the pitch with Robin van Persie of Arsenal! :P Yes, I'm an Aresnal fan :D At least Liverpool fans can hopefully get a chance back up to the top four after the wise departure of Benietz. How L* fans could take that guy, I would never know?!

I haven't kept up with the beginning of the season and the difficulty of finding the games on tv to watch. I look forward to meeting you all in the future.

I was looking to something similar for the concert tour as well. What programs do anyone use for graphic with the word over lays?

Hi everyone! Sounds like we’re all keeping busy :) We had a great time Saturday and it was so nice to have a day away from catching up on housework, yard work, tomatoes & zucchinis, and everything! The festival was OK - not the best we’ve ever been to, but DS11 had fun with the kid activities & inflatables. We listened to a blues band while we ate funnel cakes. We did kind of run out of things to do before concert time, so we just went to the main stage early and found our seats. It was rather fun people watching! There were a pair of ladies behind us that had come from Peru for the concert. They didn’t seem very comfortable speaking English, but I think they were also going to go to Sunday’s concert in Peoria, IL. I met a couple of my internet friends from the fan-board which was fun.

It was a nice day, but chilly - I don’t think it ever got above 70F and by the end of the concert it was 51F. Thankfully, we dressed for the weather - but a lot of people didn’t! There were about 2,000 seats in the reserved seating area where we were, there was also a large lawn behind that was “free” to everyone with a festival ticket. I’ve read today that Saturday night was the biggest crowd they have ever had for one of these concerts. Someone posted a photo of the crowd at the fan-board and I’ve added an arrow showing where we are (see the little speck of bright blue - that is the winter coat I was wearing) The opening act came on at 8:30pm and Adam Lambert started at 10pm.

The concert was FANTASTIC! I am continuously amazed by Adam’s voice - he is an astounding singer. I have heard him live a few times now and it always surprises me how much richer his voice is live - it seems that TV and recording technology just can’t quite capture it. He sounds great with those, but live is just a whole new dimension. It is also wonderful that he truly sings live and has no need for the lipsinc and autotune so many current singers seem to rely on. I have sung in choirs my whole life and while I don’t consider myself a trained singer, I sure do appreciate seeing an artist who sings properly - amazing breath control J

If anyone is curious, here is a link to a fan video recorded at the concert (not by me - I’m not that talented!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BNhhyfXl2w This is a ballad that really shows his vocal skills. If you are more into pop/rock, you might like this better but the sound didn’t record as well - I think the base speakers overpowered the little tiny video camera mic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6bUWooORck (Note the song starts about 2-3 minutes in as he is introducing his band at the beginning).

So we all had a great time and it was so nice to spend a day just goofing off and relaxing!

Anyone else see the thread on the main board from a fellow cruiser of ours saying the the Trolly is closed on our Key West day?:confused3 I hope that is not actually the case... Didn't someone on this thread already buy their tickets?

What the???? :confused3

While I may not get tired of it, there are occasions where they are too distracting. I may not have been posting this afternoon but I log in every hour or so to check them out.

Of course, it could have something to do with the fact that I'm doing some stupid take home assessment for a job that requires me to provide 12 examples of when I've done...(fill in the blank).

I mean, what's more interesting - the lanyard graphics :tink: or recalling two separate occasions where I was able to display "strategic thinking". :headache:

I just checked the trolley website. There it reads that the trolley tour is closed the Last Saturday in October for Fantasay Fest. It doesn't mention anything about Halloween day. So I think we are save to assume it's running on the 31st. :)

Wow. We are impressed! My family is hugely into football -- Steve loves Manchester United, I'm a Chelsea fan, and Uncle John who is coming over tonight is a way over the top Liverpool fan. We can't wait to show him Seren's photo with Steven Gerrard. Our twins love all the teams (especially the ones with the fun colors!) so they will be hugely impressed too. We just gave the lifeguards at our pool DC United jerseys as they will all be heading back to Serbia in the next couple of days. They were so excited to get them -- just goes to show that soccer (aka football everyplace but in the USA) is a universal sport!

Cruise newbie here!

On the subject of American football, where can we watch the games while cruising??

Welcome!

NFL games can be seen in Diversions sports bar and in the Promenade Lounge. They also show Monday Night Footbal on the DumboTron by the Goofy pool.

I'm actually hoping to see the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series during our cruise.:goodvibes
