I told all the nurses that I was going to change my name!!!! Just like when the kids were little and all you heard was mom, mom, mom!

No word on Olivia so I guess all is going well over there. It was nice to feel needed for awhile.

Not much new here. 1 1/2 weeks to go and I am off to Chicago again! Can't wait. Starting to bounce a bit! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Only 2 though.

Barb Happy to hear Mom will have a special day with you after all. That is even better than on Mother's Day. Surprises or "just becauses" are more exciting.

Same to you Sandy.

Denine I envy you going off to WDW but I don't envy the heat you will have. I have been there in May and dripped the whole time! Not fun! Too hot!

Denine - I'm going to be gon in the morning but should be back sometime in the afternoon. So, please try to call and mybe I'll be back home in time for us to connect this time. I hope you have a safe trip without too much construction delaying you from the warmer weather!

Tomorrow is weigh in day. I'm not feeling very confident about a loss this week. Too much stress means porr eating habits, I'm afraid. I have walked the past couple of nights, though.

Paul has a cold that has stopped him in his tracks for a couple of days. I had a sore throat last night but I have no complaints at the moment. Hopefully, he'll keep his germs on his side of the bed!!

Good luck to all you graduation party planners. I do not envy you. I have enough to be worrying about what to do with Turner's birthday coming up and he can't decide what he wants to do. We always have difficulty since there are 2 big Nascar races the weekend prior to and including his birthday weekend. The roads get gridlocked in our area for almost 2 weeks. His birthday is also Memorial Day weekend so party invitees usually can't make it to something that weekend and the following weekend there are end of school activities planned. What to do???

I didn't spend Mother's Day with my mom since she left to go to the beach. She wanted me to go with her but I just couldn't take more time off right now. My sister and her 2 little girls went with her and I'm sure they are having a great time. They are supposed to be back Thursday, I think.

My dad is having some more medical problems. His anemia is not getting better. His hemoglobin level is extremely low and they looking for an internal bleeding source that may be causing it to get worse. THey are concerned that he may need a blood transfusion soon. This is way out of my league (since I am in banking). I am going with him to a Hemotologist tomorrow and then to an Ear, Nose, Throat doctor Friday since he has been having quite a few nose bleeds this year too. On Monday we go to the Gastro doctor and they are going to have him swallow a camera and look for anything that way. He just had a colonoscopy a few months ago so they are not going to repeat it yet. His PSA level has been way down so I haven't been as worried about the prostate cancer lately. I hope this isn't related in any way to a set back with that.

Thanks for letting me rattle on a little about my Dad's health. Maybe leaving my thoughts here will allow me to let go for the night and sleep better. I'll keep you guys posted.

Well, enough from me for the night. I need to get to bed.

Later!

Hi all! Just hecking in! Glad to see that everyone is doing well, or getting better. Jeanne, I get the worst sinus infections so I know where you are coming from! Hope it gets better soon!

Sandy, what about that American Idol? I really think it is fixed. I didn't until tonight. Just little things like the "surprise pick" of he song. Poor Clay, what a song! And then when they were showing ads for the "special" show on Monday about the two finalists. They showed Rueben and Kelly Locke (I think that is her name) throughout the ad and Clay only twice. I just think that Clay will be voted off tomorrow and it will leave those two and Rueben will win it in the end. Let's see if my "feeling" is right.

Bonnie, glad to see you are getting excited for your trip. I hope you keep getting excited! I miss our chats, so we are going to have to find time to do so! HEY........ How did your son's band do? We voted as much as we could!

Susan, sorry to hear about your Dad, but I'm sure they will get everything back on track with him soon!

Hidi Ho to everyone else! Have a great "hump" day!

Susan, Sorry to hear your dad isn't feeling well. I hope everything is OK with him. The birthday quite a dilemma. Ryan never really had a big birthday party since it was always before school started so only his best friends ever got invitations...of course they usually stayed overnight so I always had a few extra boys in the house.

Jeanne-hope you feel better soon...now you know how I feel when I get sick at WDW! Knock on wood though I have been lucky the last few times.

Hven't heard anything about whether Ryan won or not. Nothing posted on the web site yet so I don't know...I hope so but we'll see.

Have a good day all.

Sue: I pulled your number out so that I can call when we get into Charlotte. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I hope they are able to find out the source of the bleeding.

Jeanne: Sorry you are not feeling well. I hate sinus infections.

Bonnie: We love going in May! It is usually in the mid to upper 80's, perfect. My feet don't warm up until it is 80 outside.

This is so cool: WDW research called last night. I answered the phone and they botched Jerry's name asking for him, so I figured it was a telemarketer. I said he wasn't available. When would be a good time to get in touch with him? Next week. Then she says who she is. WDW research asking about DVC. I am his wife, I can answer your questions. So she asked me several questions about DVC and then asked if we would be visiting in the next 4 weeks. We leave Saturday. She invites Jerry to a focus group about DVC on Wednesday. It is 90 minutes long and snacks will be provided, plus we get $75 Disney Dollars for participating!!!!!!!!! Just think, being paid to talk about DVC!!! How cool is that? Only he can go, because his was the name that was picked. I have heard of these focus groups, but people usually get picked in some strange place, like the bustop.

Vent: Went to Jerry's parents last night. I could smell the cigarette smoke before the door was even open  But, of course, Jerry's dad doesn't smoke anymore. Who do they think they are kidding? Jerry's mom "burnt something in the oven" yeah, right!!!!!!!!!!! I am very sensitive to smoke and thought I was going to keel over. I felt so bad for Kaleigh!!!!!   Plus, as soon as we walked in the door, Jerry's dad was non-stop, whiny chatter to Kaleigh. It was making me nuts. No wonder she always cries when she is around him. It is very stressful!!!! Mine and Jerry's stomachs were tied up in knots. Plus, Jerry's dad has this stupid toy dog that does flips. He is always telling Kaleigh that it is going to bite her. WHY, WHY, WHY??????   would you tell a child that a dog is going to bite them???? Luckily, she knows the difference between a toy and the real thing. They do have a dog, and Kaleigh gets excited when she sees her. But, of course, Jerry's dad is always telling her it is a big cat!!!!!! She knows what a cat is, please call it what it is!!!!!!!
If I say something, another World War will erupt. I have never gotten along with Jerry's dad and never will. We had a huge blowout one Easter. I couldn't keep my mouth shut any longer and it is getting to be that way again. I don't want to subject Kaleigh to a screaming match between the 2 of us, so I keep my mouth shut and go to a different room. Thank G-d we don't go over there much.

Hello to all. Just heading out with the girls to grocery shop for the party. Susan, I hope they find out soon what is wrong with your dad. The wait is horrible, believe me I know. See why my weight was horrible to control earlier. Just can't worry about exercise, food, Dads, Bryans etc. all at the same time. Hang in there, just watch what you eat.

Keep biting your tongue Denine. Just don't draw blood. Have a wonderful trip.

Bonnie, glad to see you post. Miss you.

Julie, I have wondered, too, about American Idol being fixed. I did indeed notice the ads for it. I think Clay is gone but am wondering if the "underdog" Kimberly will get it. They seem to dwell that she is getting so much better. But------they also push the ROOOOBEN thing. We find out tonight about Clay, correct?

H e l l o Lori! MMMMMMM, the cookies are good. No really, don't worry. I am putting them in the 5th wheel.

Hello Everyone!

It is beautiful out today. I worked in the yard yesterday. Hope to
finish the pond today. I have major overhauling on the yard I want to do.

I got some really sweet pictures of Jaymee and Ryan taken. I am going to have one scanned on their cake.

Denine- I can see why they picked Jerry to attend that meeting you guys are wonderful Disney Vacation reps.

My dad is going to get weekly shots of Procrit for now. The hematologist thinks this will jump start the red blood cells. We go to the Ear, Nose Throat doc on Friday and the GI doc on Monday. For you nurses that can comprehend this stuff, here's the highlights from the CBC results:
RBC 3.17
HGB 9.9
HCT 29.2
RDW 15.5
everything else on it was within range. He has zero energy and has been that way for some time. I sure hope these shots will help with that but I sure am interested if he does have some bleeding going on somewhere undetected thus far.

I lost 0.2 this week and with all that is going on, I'll take it. It's stilla decrease no matter how small. I walked for 40 minutes this evening and the weather has just been beautiful.

Denine, they are calling for showers and cooler weather here Saturday. Do they know you are coming??? We have been in the 80s for so long now and I don't know if I can handle the mid 60s they are calling for. Call when you come through Charlotte. I hope I get a chance to see you guys and hold Kaleigh this time!!

Heading to bed. Chat later!

Weighed in this morning and lost 3 pounds....Dick is now on the diet and can't believe all the food he gets to eat....with 6 meals a day you sure don't get hungry.....Curves weight loss class is worth the money! I learned new things and you can bet I am going to lose weight and keep it off this time....and their shakes are really good too....

Congratulations Sally! I think you did so wonderful. Keep up the good work. So the weight loss class is an additional cost? I will have to ask my place all about it.

Julie, I am totally shocked. Kimberly Locke was voted out. Both you and I didn't anticipate that one! All three are exceptional and it would have been a tough vote for me.

Sandy, I'm with you with the shock thing. I thought for sure that she would stay since Clay messed up one of his songs and I thought that they wouldn't have two guys in the finals. I'm glad for Clay! But as I told my stepdaughter, the top three will get a record deal and have offers off the plate! Look at Tara and Justin from last year. I knew that Clay wasn't going tonight when Seacrest called him down to the center of the stage and asked him if he was nervous and stuff like that. Then he said at the end....no matter what happens, your fans will always follow you. That just struck me funny . I didn't think that he would drop that big of a hint if he was the one going tonight. Next week should be good!

Bonnie, I just missed you tonight! One of these nights we will chat again! Let us know about Ryan's band results. I sure hope they won, but there were A LOT of bands for each catagory. You should send me a copy of their music. I would love to hear them.

Sally, great job with the weigh loss. We have a curves up here, real close to our house and I'm thinking about checking it out.

Susan, glad to hear that they are trying to get to the bottom of your father's health problems. At least they aren't with the attitute of "let's just see how you do for a month"........or maybe we should send you to this doctor and then this doctor and then this doctor...." Hopefully he will get the results you all have been waiting for and he can get back to his old self. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Denine, sorry to hear about your in law visit! I know how that can go! Did your father in law feed people food to their dog? Or did anyone there go through a whole bottle of wine in an hour or so by themselves?;) :teeth: :teeth: ;) I think we have inlaws just for the stories! You can ask Garry, I'm sure he could ( and would if asked) tell some about my parents too! Just keep bitting your tongue.

Barb, I wouls love to see some prom pictures of Jaymee. If you can, send some our way!

Jeanne, how's the sinus infection? I hope it is getting better!

Hi to everyone else! I think we need to send the mounties out for Patty and Laurie again!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I will try and find a way to get Jaymee's pictures on the computer.
My Dad is a computer wiz so he can probably do it for me.

We are a little over a week from graduation. My baby is graduating....

Mom is trying to guess the surprise I have planned for her belated Mothers Day.
Hope she is not disapointed.

Barb

Thanks guys! I felt better after I vented. I told Jerry that maybe he can have a private talk with his mom about the smoking and such, so she can talk to his dad. But, if the smell keeps on being that bad, I am going to have to tell them they can only visit over here. Kaleigh's health comes before his dad's feelings. Jerry and I were both exposed to cigarette smoke from birth. I have asthma and allergies and used to get a lot of ear infections. I don't want that for Kaleigh. Luckily, my dad quit smoking when I was in college.

Julie: I hope Riley is feeling better!

I lost 1 pound for a total of 16. Now I have to really watch it on vacation. The food is already calling me!!!!!

Sandy: Have fun with the graduation and open house this weekend!

Barb: Jerry got picked by random. It will be fun to find out what it is all about though.

Sue: Procrit is a good drug. I hope it helps, but more importantly, I hope they find the cause. We use to transfuse when the hemoglobin got to 7. I will come from somwhere in Charlotte on Saturday.

In less than 24 hours, Kaleigh will be all ours!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Plus, I noticed last night that her 2 top teeth are coming in!!!!

I've got a bunch more stuff to do today. I will post some time tomorrow.

Julie: I keep forgetting to ask. Are there highchairs in the 1 bedrooms at OKW? Or do I need to ask for one or do I need to take a booster seat? I never paid attention before.

Denine, I believe that there WAS a highchair in the one bedrooms at OKW. If there isn't one in the hall closet, you just call housekeeping and they will bring one to your door. The only problem is the highchair is the kind you find in restaurants like McDonalds. The ones with no real back and are square so she really needs to sit up by herself. If she still is eating in a reclined position use the highchair upside down and place her car seat in the "legs" of the chair ( the base is the top of the chair). It is sturdy and she is comfortable in her own seat. I will be thinking of you guys tomorrow! What a HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Just got home from a very long day at work. Nurses job fair.

SUe-They really need to find out why your dad is anemic. Hopefully the procrit works.

I have some nice pictures from SF.

Sandy -- Thanks for sending me the info on Curves. One just opened not too far from me and I am going to check it out! It sounds like it is working for everyone and it is something that will fit in to anyone's schedule. I looked into going to Jazzercize, but none of the classes are when I can go. I will let you know what I think.
