SANDY
Hi guys, checking in before we pull the trailer down tonight. It WAS quiet but happy to read from all of you since the roll call.
The party and graduation was perfect. It was sunny and hot on Saturday for the party but was able to borrow a huge canopy to put up outside and with the covered patio we had plenty of shade. Have tons of leftovers. Sure wish you all could come by and we could have a party of our own!!!!! Speaking of that, which one of you guys brought napkins to the wine tasting on board that was extra heavy????? I have been all over town looking for them and can't find anything similar. Where did you get them whoever?? Anyway, the girls loved their cake and so did everyone else. Absolutely not one guest knew which girl was which including grandparents in that picture.
Graduation was an emotional one. We are so proud of them and so is Ted's dad. They are the first granddaughters to graduate from college and that is why he took a big bunch of us to the country club afterwards. That was very nice. Had bacon wrapped filet mignon. The graduation itself was very nice. Something like 1000 students. Two families received their diplomas for their children who died after earning their diplomas. That was terribly depressing. We kept in contact with the girls via cell phones and that was fun. Took lots of pictures and video. What set me off crying was that Bryan showed up by himself to the graduation. Talked to Heidi on the cell and then walked over to her to give her a card. Man, when Heidi called me on the phone to tell me he was in the bldg, I lost it. She was fine but not MOM! Ted was about to kill me for crying over it. He took her out to lunch yesterday for graduation so I tried to avoid him but I got home too soon. I pulled into the garage as he was pulling into the driveway to drop her off. He asked for a hug, saw me tear up and said you don't have to. I hate being so emotional. I set Heidi off crying and then Bryan. Up till then, they did pretty good. I have a way of setting alot of people off crying when they see me upset. My soon to be SIL won't be around me when I am upset. He says it upsets him so. Bryan used to say the same thing. Met Heidi's prospective boyfriend and he seems so nice. He would fit in so nicely with our family. Same sense of humor. He is older by 10 years, divorced, with twin 5 year old girls. Will meet the twins this weekend as they are driving down to the campground.
Sorry to hear about all you sickies. Hope everyone is doing better.
Was very happy to read that Krista posted. Hope she will get back on with a much longer post.
Laurie, I was wondering the same. It has been a very long time since Darren sent his last email to Bonnie. Sure hope that he still likes his job. They work soooooooo hard there!
Lori, if I don't get back on before you leave, have a wonderful time. Watch out for that RV. No more stories like last time ok?! I think that you will totally enjoy Mesa Verde. We loved it as a family.
Take care all. I will come back to town for Wed and Thursday and leave Thurs night, be gone till Monday.Sandy
