Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

How come I didn't have a calgon day? Been busy Christmas shopping and also Christmas returns (already).

I love the idea of the boat to MK. That is probably what we will do for the uniqueness. I loved the boat to Downtown Distney from Dixie Landings. It was so quiet and peaceful. Never saw another human being. Oh how I wished we booked there this time. No not really. I honestly love All Stars.

I'm here. it got a bit cool today, only going to be in the 40's tomorrow.

I had my repeat mammo. There are 2 tiny calcifications. I have to have another in 6 months.

Nothing really going on.

I am really getting nervous now. Where is BARB and SALLY?

Denine, what is calcifications?

Bonnie, I have a feeling that you like Splash Mtn about as good as I do. I have NEVER ridden the drop part with my eyes open. I have just started leaving them open long enough for the camera. To keep my hands up is totally impossible and will never be done. But what the heck, it is a great ride! I also like Space Mountain, Buzz, Pirates amd the Haunted Mansion. Heidi found a cool site about the history behind the haunted mansion and the tiny wedding bands outside of it as you are walking out. Pirates is supposedly "graced" with a ghost and the CM's say goodnight to him everynight because if they don't they have a lot of problems the next day. For real, a man was electrocuted while building Pirates. I don't ride Tower of Terror or RR Coaster. Mission Space??????? Probably not. Heard to take Bonine before it and that you would be fine. Stacey has some leftover from her cruise. If I can't get up the nerve does anyone want to volunteer and ride with him?

I just checked Denine's new thread for any posts from Barb and Sally. Sally posted over there yesterday. I am assuming that everything is ok with them. Perhaps a bit busy.

Yeah Sandy everything is ok but busy. We are still working on the house and will probably be for the next few weeks.

We are going to a movie today, eat out, take some stuff to Goodwill, shop and watch Survivors tonight.....at least that is the plan for the day.

Dick has to go in for a test Tuesday and he is on a restricted diet on Sat. Sun. and nothing on Monday. Oh, is he going to be a bear!!

I need to take the rest of the Halloween decorations down outside and start thinking about Christmas....not really getting very excited about decorating since the house is still torn up...may skip it this year...at least inside.

Sandy: Calcifications are tiny calcium deposits. They could be associated with pre-cancer. That is more than likely not the case. Protocol is to recheck in 6 months to look for changes to them.

Cold and rainy today.

Trying to do Christmas shopping. I never can seem to find the time to look through cataolgs though.

I love Splash Mountain and all the thrill rides. We haven't done any of them with kaleigh. We don't fell like doing the baby swap and riding by ourselves. We are hoping to do some in December with someone to watch Kaleigh while we ride. Any takers? We really want to try out Mission Space.

I lost 1 pound. I have 3 more to go before I am back to pre-Disney weight.

Ok, where is everyone? I guess I will have to start singing again!!!

mememememememe.........

My Bonnie lies over the ocean:boat:

Oh please post

oh please post a message to me!

Watch out everyone else! I've got my song book out! LOL!!
Sandy, we are also thrill seekers too! But I get to sit this one out again! I'm the official baby watcher! LOL!

Well gonna go! Will check back in later!

Poor Julie...wasting her singing talent on an empty BB.....ok, I'll listen...now how about something to get us in the Christmas mood.....

I haven't done a thing today except go out to breakfast with my husband....waiting for my grandaughter to get here so we can start our day....

Julie, I am like Sally. I want to hear Christmas music. You read that wrong. I am NOT a thrill seeker. Ted is NOT me. Remember Nervous Nellie?

Thanks Denine about calcifications. Never heard of the term before.

Guess what......my two lovely daughters are both scheduled for surgery/procedures next Wed. Stacey's knee and Heidi's leep. Twins. Good grief.

Sandy, I have to ask: what is a leep? Best of luck to the girls and their procedures.

Survivor is tonight. I hope I can stay awake to watch it. Work is still very crazy. We can't seem to hire enough people these days and I am so tired of interviewing candidates "in my spare time"!!HA

Juie, I would like Christmas music too. la-la-la-la

Later!

All the nurses here can probably answer the leep question better than me but Heidi had a bad pap and needs to go in. The doctors will scrap ( I believe with laser) her cervix. Bad cells that are not cancerous yet but can turn into cancer. How did I do, Bonnie? We called Bonnie to talk to her about it as we were sooooo scared.

Survivor night and I can't watch. Darn. It is my nephews birthday party. Oh well, that is why we can tape off the satellite receiver!

Sandy, you are pretty good with the procedure description. I had a leep procedure several years ago and everything has turned out fine. (I would say so going on 3 kids! LOL!). Pixie dust to the twins!

OK...... you asked for it................

memememememe................

A day or two ago
I'd thought I take a ride
and soon Miss Fanny Bright
was sitting by my side
the horse was lean and lank
misfortune seem the lot
we got into a drifted bank
and then we got upsot

OH
Jingle bells
jingle bells
jingle all the way
Oh what fun it to ride in a one horse open sled..... HEY

Encore, encore....

I must have had the leep thing 15 years ago but don't remember it being called that. I think they called it a laser colnization (sp?) but it sounds like the same thing. I haven't had a bad pap since then. I hope Stacey's knee surgery goes well too. Good luck.

This will be my last post until late Sunday. We have a hockey game tonight to go to and then we are off to Turner's tournament weekend.

Our upper 70s and low 80s are coming to an end today. Today is expected to get to 69, tomorrow 59, and Sunday only to 44!! What a shocker that will be to our system!! I've been coming home from work and putting shorts on for my walk with Stanley and still getting hot! It has really been too warm for November though.

Everyone have a great weekend. Love ya!
Later!

Sandy: Good luck to the girls next week!

Julie: More Christmas music! I am in such a Christmas mood this year! Great pictures of the kids!

Sue: Good luck to Turner! So, what jobs do you have open? Jerry wouldn't mind transferring to Charlotte.

I got my shopping done for Jerry. He gave me time to go through catalogs and then I ordered the stuff on-line. I still have more to do, but I am on my way.

Today is cold and sunny.

Good morning. Nothing new here. Great singing job Julie. I love Christmas music and have already started listening to it in my car. I am a big fan of Anne Murray, Neil Diamond and Kenny Rogers Christmas songs. My gosh, after reading over that last statement, I AM OLD!

GO TURNER! Susan, I have a feeling what you had done is probably about the same but maybe not the cervix. After talking to my sister in law last night both Heidi were talking about the same kind of thing just different "parts".

Denine, doesn't it feel good to have already bought a few gifts? I mainly have left my immediate family. I have bought a few for Heidi, though. Ted????????? I hate buying for a man! I have an idea for Stacey.

Barb, where are you???????? Bonnie, you are starting to slack here. Jeanne, you are safe. I know you pulled 12 hour shifts. Sally, bless your heart, always busy. Lori, today is a work day for you but expect to hear from you soon. Krista, Diana and Laurie are our "surprise guests" every so often.

Getting a new mattress today. We bought one 3 years ago and we have traded it in 3 times. It is a pillowtop and it keeps getting lumps. This time we asked for it NOT to be replaced with the same mattress. Oh, how I look forward to waking up without a humongous back ache!

I got the paint last night and at ll:30 I painted the half wall....had to watch Survivor, CSI and Without a Trace first.

Then this morning I painted the steps going up to the 2nd level and wouldn't you know it Abby saw a cat at the front door and came bounding down with me yelling stop and her thinking go! I grabbed her but not before she was covered with paint on her paws and when I grabbed her she wiggled around and got paint on her ear, side and face. She ran and hide under the table because she didn't know why I was yelling. Poor baby, she was just trying to scare the cat away and I was not being very nice to her. After a treat all was forgiven. Sure hope the steps are dry before Dick gets home from work at noon as I would hate to yell at him and he doesn't dig the treats..

Lying low here and freezing. It had been in the 80's for days, then 2 days ago, whammy.
We are now wet and cold (loooooow 40's) Haven't seen the first freeze yet though.

Got another short haircut today. A little flip jobby. Hope it is not too Mary Tyler Moorish. Have lost 17 pounds, and singing the praises of Metformin, because have been off of all weight bearing excersize for 3 months. I don't know if you all remember that I was having a "heel problem" (plantar fascitis), but it has now been over 2 1/2 years and time for some drastic action. I am part of a guinea pig group for shock wave therapy. It is the same thing they do for kidney stones, but on my foot. Not invasive like "cut-em-open" surgery, but still painful, I hear. The shock waves essentially promote hundreds of tiny fractures in my heel/bone spur, to let the blood recirculate and heal properly. And they say that I will walk out of there. Hmmmmm, fractures...., walk....., we'll see. I guess I am pretty tough after 2 1/2 years of pain.

Pretty chatty today, aren't I??

Getting excited for Christmas here too, what's up with that? Even David wants to get the tree after Thanksgiving.

Have a great day and weekend. I will be having wine tonight, anyone else???

Krista

Krista, what is metformin?

I, too, suffer from plantar fascitis, Unfortunately, I had the surgery and on both feet. I still have the bone spurs created by the fascitis. I can never be barefoot again. I wear prescriptive orthotics. I change shoes every 2 months. It has been over 4 years since the surgery. I am much better but have my moments. WDW kills me. I never knew you had it too. It certainly isn't fun. I wish your procedure was around for me. Good luck and PLEASE let me know how it goes. I was placed in a cast so walking out of there sounds heavenly!

Poor Sally and the cat!
