:lmao: I saw that on Morning Joe this morning.

Anyone see this about Clinton posting a new website arguing for her way of counting delegates:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.co...-new-offensive-on-delegate-counting/#comments

It's getting desperate.

I'm actually going to leave work before 11 pm tonight (accounting busy season :headache: ) so I can see the debate. I'll have my bottle of wine ready.

It's definitely desperate if all you can attack Obama about is a perceived lack of detail about plans. *Poof!* Obama presents his detailed plans.

just got the following email from the obama campaign.......

News broke yesterday that a few wealthy Clinton supporters are gearing up for a massive spending campaign to boost her chances in the big upcoming contests in Texas and Ohio on March 4th.

The so-called "American Leadership Project" will take unlimited contributions from individuals and is organized the same way as the infamous Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

ABC News reports that this group is seeking 100 Clinton supporters to each give $100,000 to fund its $10 million effort to promote Senator Clinton and "contrast" her positions with Barack Obama's.

That's the opposite of how politics should work, and the opposite of how Barack Obama has run this campaign.

That IS the exact opposite way he has run his campaign. Hopefully he has the funds that will be necessary to refute these negative ad's coming his way. The good news is that his campaign is aware of this ongoing behavior, and I trust they have a way take care of it in a fair and balanced way.

So she's decided to "swift-boat" Obama? Should be interesting to see how that tactic plays out.:sad2: I keep wondering if she has even one, true loyal friend that would tell her, "It's over." She really will have a future past 08, but only if she avoids all the scorched earth tactics.

If he really wants to play a different game, he should be even MORE positive. Keep hammering on his plans for how he is going to bring change to Washington, keep hammering on how business as usual has failed this country in spectacular ways and most importantly, keep hammering on how bitterness and divisiveness have created a cynical, apathetic electorate and gridlocked governing. That's how you refute that stuff without sinking to it's level.

The other night my 5 year old dd had me feeling bad about not supporting hillary.....as the first woman to run.
My DD was saying , "I like the girl...i voted for the girl" ( she knows i support obama)then DD said , "I want to be president " and for the first time ..i could really say to her...yes honey...you could do that someday!!!

BUT.... the method she is using to get back in the game...just reminds me of why i did not want to see another Clinton in the White House!!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 he's GOT to stay on the high road!!!!

EXACTLY! And I think he's got that down... that's why I wonder how many adults will be in the room this evening, one or two.....

As they say KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS, and add a ton of facts :thumbsup2 You'll be very good to go IMHO

He's going to have his hands full in the debate tonight. Her campaign is desperate to hang onto the illusion that they still have a chance, and I have a really bad feeling she's going to come out with both barrels blazing, so to speak.

I just can't fathom how stupidly her campaign has been run. Every single time they've gone negative, they've lost. South Carolina...Super Tuesday...Wisconsin. I mean...how many times do they have to have something beaten into their heads that the country is sick and tired of this kind of nonsense?!?

But tonight will tell the tale. My guess, as I said, is that she comes out nasty from the opening comments. As for him...I hope he stands up for himself, but refrains from sinking too far into the muck with her.

I agree with you, she will not come out nicely... I know he will stand up for himself, he has the ability to do it, he's shown he can do it, and I expect he will NOT have to sink too far into the muck with her...

I absolutely can not wait for tonight!! I can NOT wait for Barack to out shine her once again, to show how classy he and his wife are and how OPPOSITE they are from the Clinton's. He definitely needs to stay positive and not give in to her trashy, tacky ways. Keep the "HOPE" that he will bring much needed change. Everyone should meet back here after the debate to chat!!

See you all later, Becky:)

A good article from The Washington Post.

This might be a hint of Hillary's message tonight:

As Crucial Tests Loom, Clinton Hits Harder

"Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton launched a tough new offensive against Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday, asserting flatly that her rival for the Democratic presidential nomination is not prepared to serve as commander in chief."

"It is time to get real -- to get real about how we actually win this election, and get real about the challenges facing America," the senator from New York told a cheering crowd at Hunter College in Manhattan.

But instead of shifting course, Clinton redoubled her attempt to undermine his change-oriented message. "One of us is ready to be commander in chief," she told the crowd in New York. "Let's get real. Let's get real about this election, let's get real about our future, let's get real about what it is we can do together." Obama has had a "good couple of weeks," she allowed, but said his victories had come in states that he was expected to win. Clinton predicted that when voters in Ohio and Texas have the opportunity to take his measure, his run of success will end."

---------------
I'd probably find it more entertaining if she'd use, "Keeping it real, dog", rather than, "It's time to get real." (Yes, I know I probably watch too much American Idol. :rotfl: )
But, OK, I'll get real. Barack Obama has run a positive, effective campaign that has carefully and judiciously managed it's budget. He didn't find Swift Boaters to try circumvent the limits on election contributions. (Hillary's The American Leadership Project.)

I appreciate his integrity, honesty, and commitment to running a good, honest campaign. :goodvibes
