Not ROFR thread - general discussion

I didn’t listen to the latest show just yet but I will miss Panda. He is very positive and funny and captures the pure enthusiasm of being an owner quite well. Honestly, I like the whole crop of current panelists/hosts. My only complaint about that show is Amy loves to interrupt her husband and it makes it a tough listen whenever it happens. Don’t do that!

I promise I’m not trying to interrupt. :( My brain just tends to process things out loud, so sometimes I chime in mid-thought. I’m working on being more mindful of it. Sometimes also what may look like an interruption is him looking to me to jump in and give him a break. Producing, hosting, and being cognizant of what he has to edit can be a lot. We appreciate you watching the shows and for the feedback. :)

I mean it a real life relationship. Im sure many think mine and my husbands dynamic isnt what they would want but it works perfectly for us. Kudos to them for living life together and also working together. I dont appreciate fakeness for the camera and happy this is the real them. I haven't noticed what you say when I watch, maybe because Amy says what I am saying to myself I dont know. women think alike often. I think its refreshing to have a women's perspective on the show even if how its presented isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Guy here, and I haven't really noticed it either. And I've watched dang near every episode there is 🤣

Just keep on making interesting and entertaining shows! 🤘

Amy you’re the best. I absolutely appreciate your perspective on the show and you and I are on the same page regarding how amazing Aulani is. You are of course extremely knowledgeable and always passionate. Your interview of your employee for the Give Kids the World show was incredible. What a moving story to listen to. I listen via podcast in the car so it might not come off the same way on YouTube watching video and you don’t always do it, but I appreciate your openness to the feedback. Classy people over there across the board!

Amy,

It’s clear that you put an incredible amount of work into developing fresh ideas, researching topics, and keeping everything organized. Just like your former students, the entire community benefits from your dedication and effort.

I really appreciate the realness of the show and the natural chemistry among the hosts. Jeff and Derrick (both fantastic, by the way) have no problem jumping in to share their thoughts, so please never feel like you’re “interrupting” anyone — your voice adds so much to the discussion.

As the only female on the show much of the time, your perspective represents not only over half of the population but also a large portion of the most active members of the DVC community.

Keep being you — and thank you sincerely for everything you do!

You probably wouldn’t enjoy my ADHD household — we have to get our thoughts out right away before we get distracted and lose them completely! Honestly, it’s often a sign that someone feels comfortable enough to be their true self around others — especially for a woman in a group of men.

I will hold my tongue out of respect for this board, it was very hard not to respond when I was accused of calling someone racist which is wild and I have no idea where that came from as we werent even discussing anything remotely close to that.

I had to Google the definition of what I said to make sure. But I wont say anything further about the topic, I promise.

He has a unique presence. A truly great personality.

I enjoyed his presence on all the shows. His presence will be missed.
I enjoy the content of the DVCFan shows.

I'm hoping this doesn't transform the show into solely an infomercial.

+1......Panda has an engaging personality and an enthusiasm for the parks that is infectious. He kept things lively and fun, in a Dom DeLuise like way (which is a major compliment from me) - while having impressive Disney knowledge. I hope he has plans to reemerge somewhere, but after selling this YouTube channel and walking away here, I fear he is stepping away to work on a non-Disney career.

I hope I'm wrong - as an Italian new yorker, he should know that 'the saddest thing in life is wasted talent'. I hope the DIS or WDWNT or someone else made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Is there a Membership Card to the Conversation-Derailers-Club? I would like one. My FOMO commands it.
I think you get it the first time Sandi politely asks you to get back on topic or go to a different thread. 😉
I’d also be in that club.
We’re not the most focused but we’re great company, and we’re always looking for one more…
"Not holding my own" isn't the only reason to put someone on ignore. After all, I argue semi-professionally. It's not particularly difficult for me, and I'm good at it.
Hear, hear. I argue for money professionally (and I argue with some of you for free too!) but my time has value as a limited resource. I’m slow on the block button here, but I will block people if more than about 90% of their posts add nothing or if most of their posts are obnoxious/negative/aggrevating.

Like @VGCgroupie said above— if my posts make someone upset, I welcome them to block me, life is too short for internet message board drama—also, isn’t there a whole dedicated section for that?
