Now Patty Duke has died

Is this becoming common, a ruptured intestine? I know 3 people in the last year that this happened to them. Luckily they did not die, but they were very sick.

My mom suffers from diverticulitis and a rupture in the intestine is always a concern. Drives me nuts because when she gets an attack she won't go to the doctor because they will immediately admit you to the hospital for observation, especially if you have a fever. She just drinks a ton of water and powers through it. I always tell her to PLEASE call me if her fever gets worse, but I have visions of her intestines rupturing in the middle of the night, causing sepsis, and something happening to her before she has a chance to alert me. I hate it. I used this as an opportunity to lecture her once again. She's stubborn.

Well, maybe now that you can prove to your mom it can be fatal she'll change her behavior. Senator to know who Party Duke is.

Okay...something weird. I'm reading Call Me Anna, Patty Duke's autobiography, and she's telling about how she was in an ABC sitcom called It Takes Two. It was very successful for one season. But then the creators had to choose whether to give it a second season, or give another another ABC show a fifth season. That show was Benson, starring James Noble, who died the same day as Patty Duke.
