So we got a discount on one night at AKL post cruise in December. I really hoped for one on the Poly for 3 nights pre cruise but no luck. My friend and I have to have a serious conversation about the cost at the Poly, I just can't pay the full rate on my own so I'm counting on her to come through with her half and as much fun as we have in nervous about that. We could switch to AKL, CSR, or AoA suites and be at a price I can handle alone just in case.

Nah, I don't think that they were ever THAT low. The late December #'s are really best-case scenario. That being said, does anyone know if free dining is ever offered in mid to late January?

Shoot. Had given up on a discount coming out, at least not in time for us to use FF miles for flights. We ended up renting points and doing SSR for about the same price POR would be if we used this discount and orbitz. Someone convince me it will be ok? We've never stayed dvc before.

Sorry everyone is so disappointed.... I only needed a Room Only for 2 nights before our Pkg started. I was locked into my dates as I had already booked airfare. Thankfully, I was able to get 2 nights at POR for $169/night. Garden view. Seeing as how I was willing to pay rack rate, it was nice to get a bit of a deal. The $60 I saved will cover some of the exchange into Canadian dollars!

I booked ASMo for the wine and dine half marathon. Originally wanted the poly or an Epcot resort but no way I'm paying rack rate. Honestly, I'm kind of over it. We are supposed to be doing our son's first trip Nov 2017. He turns 3 that dec so I wanted to take advantage of him being free. But now with being so high for Nov and these crappy discounts I'm really thinking of just skipping Disney for the next few years until some of all the new attractions our done.

It looks like I'll stick with the Boardwalk Villa I booked with a 30% PIN code discount. I'm now super thankful I got that discount in my email! I'm sorry for others that the discount seems very limited and not as good as we were all hoping.

I switched from Pop Century to Coronado Springs for our trip 12/6 - 12/11. Not exactly where we wanted to be, we were hoping to get POFQ, or at least back to POR but no dice. Yes we are paying more, but at least we are at a moderate now. I just didn't want to deal with a Value during Pop Warner week.

I'm still going to look at the price for renting DVC points. Who knows, maybe I'll even try a travel agent for once.

Now to figure out park tickets...

I never book something I can't afford - so I am willing to pay rack rate as well. It's just disappointing that the "discount" is no discount at all.

When did this offer post? I went on to try to modify my reservation and spoke to Disney reservations, and there are no Royal Rooms at POR for my dates (11/30-12/8). So sad!

It feels like this is a bit of a bait and switch to me - a way to get people to call in, excited about discounts, already mentally planning their trips, then told that unfortunately there's nothing available, everything is already booked, but here, let us help you plan your magical vacation anyway!

I guess I have to hope that they will come out with either a Florida resident or annual pass discount where I could save something/anything! Right now we are paying $167 rack rate for a preferred room at POP Century over Thanksgiving. And, the holiday rate is exactly the same.

Tried it already. Most DVC resorts are even booked up. Our week of 12/3-12/11 only a 1 bedroom at SSR was available. Craziness!
