November/December 2016 discount code watch

Does anyone know if I try a travel agent and they book through Disney can they transfer the money I have already paid to there reservation or do I have to wait for the refund from Disney and then turn around and give it to the TA. Can anyone recommend a TA? I would love to stay in a deluxe for the same price I am paying or get some sort of a discount at all. Thanks

I am not sure - I had booked my own reservation, and just signed on with a TA for the upgrade to moderate, then cancelled my original. The refund hasn't hit my credit card yet, though, and that was Wednesday.

I did this same thing and my refund took a surprisingly long time. Like over a week.

I hope that Disney appreciates my kids having to skip breakfast between now and November as a result of no discount being offered! Mouse or bust. Seriously though, January is looking so much better now. The only regret that I have if we switch is that it's not typically water park weather and we were building in a day for that in November.

That being said, all of the talk about conventions has me wondering whether it's going to be an issue for the resorts but not so much for the parks.

We have someone turning 10 by the end of the year, so pushing our trip off to the beginning of next would mean a bit of a jump in $$$. I'm still hopeful I can get my two nights at a discount. If that doesn't happen, we'll just stay near the airport for those 2 nights before moving to AoA to begin our FD pkg. For those of you who have an entire trip that needs a room discount, I wish you all the best and lots of pixie dust! I'm not convinced there won't be any discounts for November, though I sure understand the concern.

you obviously aren't accounting for the Leap Year.

That is great news!

I have not considered looking into a TA before. I guess I had figured they would have the same promotions. Maybe it's time that I branch out!
We got a TA this time as well and got a great RO deal for our 2 nights at BC. Keep hoping for a Disney deal and that some rooms open at yacht club!

Yes. They can transfer the money! We did that with our reservation.

A couple new discounts out this morning! Not the AP RO I was waiting for but at least it's something! Good luck everyone!

on the special offers page

It's not letting me go into individual resorts yet though - I get an error message. Kind of disappointed in the amount of discount though . . .

ETA - letting me into individual resorts now . . .

Wow. I'm only seeing 8 resorts eligible for the offer... Are the others going to stay blacked out? Or do you think they'll open up some rooms later today?

I was able to add the 10% to my room at All Star Movies. Glad I switched over from a moderate since discount isn't really that great.

Oh, by the way, I tried at first in Chrome, but kept getting error message, but switched over to IE (which I hardly ever use anymore), and it worked first try....just in case someone else is having same problem.

And I got screwed. Looking like a bad time to hope for a discount!

The "discount" didn't work out for me- I have a standard room at Poly and the 10% discount on club level lagoon or theme park view. Much cheaper to stay with the non-deal I originally booked.

Loving the fact that I'll finally get to experience what it means to pay rack rate!
