November 25, 2012: Mexican Riviera on the Wonder

Grizbuzz:

I'd definately get a passport. In the unlikely event that you (or one of your family members) may have an emergency, you would all need a passport to get a flight from Mexico to the US.

My TA said we needed a passport. Ours expired in 09, I renewed them in August.

This is a confirmation that the Alejo Family is still joining the FEE.

Let us know if the ornament exchange is a go or not.

Thanks!

Yes - This is to confirm the Ornament Exchange - White Elphant style - With a $10.00 value. This exchange can be done by one or all memebers in your family. "Please bring a wrapped ornament to the exchange"

Instructions: Each person in the excahnge will bring a wrapped ornament and will draw a number and this will be your number in the rotation of picking or stealing a ornament. If you have never particapated in one this is alot of fun:rotfl2:

All,
I just received this information regarding mailing packages to the ship, and I thought I'd pass it along.

Items that cannot be shipped to Metro Shore Services and delivered to the ship include: food products (all and any food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals and luggage. These items will not be accepted and will be returned.

For cruises leaving on Sunday, packages must be received by Thursday at 3:00pm.

The following information needs to be listed on the package being
delivered:
-Name
-Sail Date
-Ship
-Stateroom Number
-Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)

Here is the address:
Metro Shore Services
Berth 93A, World Cruise Center
Terminal Manager?s Office
San Pedro, CA 90731

:cheer2:

Thank you, Malone!! Thinking of shipping our pirate stuff ahead of time to make room for FEE stuff. If it gets lost its not the end of the world.

I'm getting worried, many of you have posted that you have received your luggage tags. I've been checking the mail diligently every day and NOTHING! I'm getting worried!!!!!

I've finished up the 12 and under FEE purchases and now just need to take care of the teens and adults.

How much luggage are we allowed? What about washing? I'm not sure how much to pack and to allow for washing or not. Yikes it's gettiing down to the bare necessities!!!!!

Hi all,
Almost vacation time! If you are looking for princess dresses for your little girl, Target's having a 50% off sale for all of their halloween costumes. I just went to my local target and got a really nice cinderella dress with headband for $17.50. The normal price was $35! I also got ariel for $17.50 and repunzel for $10 and merida from brave for $15. (No, I'm not keeping all of them. I'm returning some...I just wanted to let my daughter choose her outfits.:)) Just make sure you go to the halloween sale section. I saw a lower quality cinderella dress in the toy section and they were selling it for normal price $20.99. Just wanted to share my bargains with you!

Hi!

Thanks for the input - I will get the kid's passports extended. Looks like that will be a $170 each plus photos. Ugh. Will be good to have for the years to come and who knows what travels await...

We got our room assignment Monday (after booking Sunday - not bad!) - Cabin 6044. Hoping that we get moved from second seating dining assignment to first, though we'll take what we can get at this point.

Now trying to decide whether or not to book one night at a Disneyland Resort hotel night before... Figure maybe we have time to get Radiator Springs in Sunday morning before heading to the terminal? :rolleyes1

Hope everyone is enjoying their cruise preparations. Guess I'd better hurry up and make some door magnets.

Happy November! :wizard:

Laudry facilities are on decks 2, 6 and 7 on the Disney Wonder. I'd suggest bringing "laundry sheets" (such as Purex 3 in 1) instead of buying them on site. They are compact and easy to toss in luggage.

Hi all,:wave2:

just found this thread, I know we missed the FEE, but is it still possible to join the ornament exchange? If so, please count us in.

Thanks! I have these laundry soap pellets that I pack for our DVC trips so I'll bring those along. I don't really want to do laundry, but I can't imagine that we can bring enough for a week's worth of clothes including evening and formal wear.

Welcome Logan Family,

I don't have a specific time for the Ornament Exchange I was hoping to get the Daily Navigator before setting the exact time - Planning on the sea day of Monday or Tuesday afternoon in the Promenade Lounge around 1pm or 3pm depending on what might be going on. I will have the time at the Meet and Greet in the Promenade Lounge at 3pm on Sunday.pirate:

Welcome!!

We are a late comer too - actually we just booked the cruise a week ago. If there are others who missed the fish extender deadline who would like to do an informal "drop gifts off at cabins but NOT the fish extender exchange," please PM me. I know my kids really look forward to that and it would be fun to do a little something. Just don't want to add any confusion to those who have been planning this FE for some time.

Booked GCH last night for 11/24. Should be nice and festive for the holidays!

Now, must do the passport renewal. Ugh.

Happy planning fellow cruisers!

:welcome: to all the latecomers! Even if it's a little late for the FEE, please feel free to stop by the Promenade lounge at 3PM on Sunday and say "Hi!"

We would love to join you for the informal "drop gifts off at cabins". I agree w/ you about not wanting to cause confusion to the real FE, and would have sent this to you as a PM, but I'm such a newbie that I'm not allowed.:sad2:

Make a couple passes through the Games forum on the community board, Just For Fun section, and your post count will go up exponentially! Then you can send a PM!

Great tip!!! Thanks.

And thank you for the invite to the Promanade lounge, we will definitely stop by and say Hi:chat:

I noticed on the google spreadsheet one of my daughters names is misspelled. In room 2077/2079 my daughter's name is spelled Oakley. Thank you for the update.

My kids are counting down the days. Can't wait to get this cruise started. Hopefully we can get the last two families to confirm so I can finish up my gifts. See you all soon:)

Hello Cruisers! :wave2: My family is on this cruise as well. We just booked a couple of weeks ago. 2 boys 8 & 10, myself and husband. Just found out about the FE and bummed that we can't join. Maybe next cruise, should this first one we go on is a great experiance!

Hi, single father taking the Thanksgiving cruise 2012 on Wonder. Would love to know if any other single adults on there as well to hang out with. Hope to hear from you!
