November 24, 2014 Disney Dream Thanksgiving Cruise

Er, slightly late to the party here. I had no idea there were so many secret/hidden subculture items here. My in-laws made the reservations and we're joining the party. We will have 6108, 6110, 6112. Still not sure who will sleep in which cabin.... No matter what, any stuff that's distributed will get to the girls. The kids are all girls: Dylan 12, Morgan 9, Colette almost 5. If there is anything I can do in the next 24 hours to join the group, let me know. (befuddled) Andy

I got a bunch of Disney stuff at Party City today. Most of it is designed as birthday party favors: packages of 4 crayons, princess medallion necklaces, little packages of stickers, princess pencils, etc. All of it was girl stuff, but anyway, I will be happy to distribute it to the girls on that list. Strangely I couldn't find any good stuff for boys. I must have been looking in the wrong place.

I'm getting excited about the cruise. Thanks to the people who organize this type of thing.

I will simply hang some sort of bag from our fish because I didn't hear about FE's until it was way too late to procure or make one!

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful f/e gifts!!! I hope all have safe travels home! Next cruise 4/23/16 on the fantasy!!

I told my daughter and her cousins that the gifts came from the Disney princesses. My daughter is in thrall. Thanks to all who dropped something by our cabin! The girls divvied the items, and my daughter is convinced that Cinderella wants her in her royal court. One of you dropped a huge package, which was much appreciated, but everything that appeared was more proof that the princesses were pleased....

The cruise was amazing in many ways. I think I can pinpoint the moment when I was really hooked:

One of the Carnival ships was sailing from the Nassau pier. The ship looked sort of pitiful compared to the Dream. As I stood there and remarked how sad the people on that ship must be compared to us, the Dream suddenly bellowed the "When you Wish upon a Star" salute. At that point I was very proud to be on the Dream and delighted at the sheer craziness of the salute.

I guarantee that every Carnival passenger who heard it thought, "I wish I were on that Disney ship right now."
