I am the only one in my house that likes baked potatoes. However, when my kids were small and we were broke, I would trick them - I would make twice baked potatoes, but call them "stuffed potatoes". And, I would stuff them with the potato innards mixed with whatever leftovers or cheap ingredients we had (leftover chili, beef stew, taco meat, chicken, meatballs). They always thought stuffed potatoes were SO amazing because they had meat and melted cheese.

Super cheap and used up what we had. So - always was thankful I knew how to make them

Prepares for back lash....I don't care for potatoes. There I said it! I do like roasted sweet potatoes.

They have been a mixed bag for me. I have had some that were really good and would gladly eat again, but others that didn’t measure up.

Yes, I've had them. I don't like them as much now that I can't load them with cheese.

Isn't that funny? My kids loved pot roast and veggies, but only because I'd make hash with it the next day. And ham on the bone always meant split pea soup.

We love twice baked potatoes here, and I make them often!

If I'm short on time or don't want to have the oven hot as long, I do the 1st "bake" in the microwave and the 2nd in the oven (or air fryer). - You just have to be really careful with the scooping out part, because the skins are still pretty soft at that point if microwaved. I use an avocado scoop.

Sometimes I use sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits as the mix-ins, and sometimes I use store-bought tzatziki.

Any other combos people like?
