The BF and I have a printers box that we put momentos of things we've done in...when going to Nassau or Castaway Cay, will we get a different currency other that american? I thought it would be a nice touch to our collection...thanks!
I know you can at Nassau, just buy something with cash and the change(atleast the coins) will be bahimian. Probably the same with CC at the post office but it would be the same. I would just get it at Nassau.
My ds(12) wanted some bahimian bills. He went into a couple of shops and ask the clerks if they would trade for US dollars. They were more than happy to trade.
Last year my daughter (who's really into different money, also) bought a really nice souvenier at Castaway Cay. It had two Bahamian Dollar bills (front and back) and several coins. It was all mounted in a display board with a nice picture of the Bahamas on it. It seems silly to "buy" money, but the display board made it a unique thing to bring home to show her class.
yes you can get nassau money just buy something from the post office. just a friendly warning the people in nassau are ***** as hell so if you dont want to buy something from them just tell them no and keep walking
Cool...I just want a couple of coins...that way we can put them in our printers box...we have stuff from all the different things we've done...Phantom of the Opera, Hocky Games we have gone to, Casino's we have been to etc...its nice to have a small place to put all of the "little things" that make up our relationship.
Thanks!
When we were in Nassau, we went to a bank and asked the teller for some of the more interesting coins (one looks like a flower with rounded edges) and a one dollar bill. They were very helpful.
