Still looking at the air fare from Spain home. :surfweb: The Irish airline's schedule is still not up to this date in 2010. When it does I may look into laying over in Ireland for a day or two if possible. :woohoo:

Well Eleasa,

We are actually in Ballantrae (north Stouffville), and as luck would have it were getting plenty of snow today:confused3:confused3. So far we've got about 2inhces.:confused3 Its probably headed your way in the next day or so.

So glad to see more Canadians, welcome Mike and Isabel! Have you cruised with DCL before, and have you made your flight arrangements yet. Were flying out of Toronto on the 9th, staying 1 night at the Hyatt (with a possible quick visit to WDW, we have annual passes). Then on the 10th we can head to the port leisurely..

Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the welcome!

What a small world. I grew up in the north end of Toronto. I know Stouffville well. Or at least I used to. Im sure things have changed quite a bit in the last 20-25 years or so! :)

I've got my fingers crossed with exchange rate. I keep checking every day. lol.

Ok so I know this sounds lame but this cruise makes me a bit nervous! DH wants to go but I'm holding back. I want to go but I would like to know how rough the seas get out there. After all, it's not like you can get through not feeling well knowing the next day you'll be in port. This is 6 days at sea!!! Has anyone on this board ever done this cruise before?

I went ahead and booked even though I am nervous about the seas too - I can get motion sickness watching tv - but I figure you only live 1x, right? I'll come armed w/ my meds - the patch & dramamine :rotfl:

& booze...don't forget the good stuff... :lmao:

Hi Everyone,

We are currently booked on the EBTA and CAN'T wait! Now we just need to figure out how to pay the balance! ;)

We are:
Eleasa
DH Jim
DS Raine who will be 8 at the time of this cruise.
We live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. But for the time being we will be flying out of Montreal, Quebec.

This will be my 4th cruise and Im still recovering from a bad cruise experience in January (not Disney). 7 day Caribbean cruise (with my siblings and Mother to celebrate her 80th B-day)........with NO luggage. Then it took 26 hours to get home from San Juan. The luggage finally arrived home 2 days after we did.

For Jim and Raine, this will be their 2nd cruise. My niece got married on an Alaskan cruise in May 2007. Raine absolutely loved it and continues to ask when we are going on another. We haven't told him about this cruise yet, but boy I cannot wait to see his face! :woohoo:

I have to admit, I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks and I must say, you folks are a wealth of knowledge! You've already answered most of my questions, plus a few I didn't know I had!:flower3:

The only concern I have is the 1 to 25 counselor to child ratio in the Oceaneers Lab. I'd appreciate any comments or experiences with children in around Raine's age bracket of 8.

I look forward to getting to know you all better in the coming year!

We've only had good experiences with the kids' clubs on DCL! DSis was 8 on her first cruise and 10 on her second cruise and loved the kids club both times. Any time I've been in the kids area it seems like there are more than enough counselors around.

Just checking in. :yay:

I must admit that Facebook has taken a lot of my computer time lately. :surfweb: Still I really enjoy the DIS and want to get to know everyone joining in on this cruise. This will be our 9th DCL cruise and our DS/DDIL's 2nd DCL cruise (plus a Carnival which they did not like).

Looking forward to other Disney trips as well before this cruise such as 5 days in June and at least a week around Thanksgiving. :woohoo:

Shh, I've been on FB quite a bit myself!

Otherwise I've just been busy getting ready for our WDW trip in a couple of weeks. I can't WAIT to get down there and be on vacation with my family. I'm sure the thread will gets busier as we get closer.

I've crossed the Atlantic five times ....... in an aircraft carrier; does that count?

The six days at sea is what I am really looking forward to. :woohoo:Come on and join the fun! :grouphug:

I have too in an airplane. :goodvibes :scared1: But I've read the seas can be pretty rough in April!!!:scared1:

I didn't travel in an airplane but a rather big Navy warship. pirate: The water can be rough anytime even in the Caribbean. It will still be much fun! :cheer2: Come along. :flower3:

Ginamarie... when are you going to WDW??? There is a Disbrunch with the Thieves at Olivias on May 3rd...

I try to not think about rough seas. I'm hoping Tinkerbell with spread her pixie dust over the waves calming them down. :goodvibes

Tomorrow is April 10th, 2009!!!!! Almost one year to go. Egads this is turning into a long wait - but well worth it.

We'll use DVC the night before. :thumbsup2

We too have two planned WDW trips between now and the cruise. The first is the middle of June and the second is just after Thanksgiving. :woohoo:

:banana: Woo Hoo! 1 year from today we will be flying to Florida. We just got home from disneyland today. How is that for timing? I realized that we suck at traveling to DL during busy season. We usually go during slowtimes and never ever get fast passes. We did manage to do all the rides we wanted to. Logan & I went on Grizzly 4 times in a row and Athena & I got in 3 rides on Indy on Wednesday. It was a good trip. We are off to Hawaii next month and then we are doing Disneyworld and a 3 day cruise with my MIL in August.

Hello, my name is Paul, my wife Durrel booked this cruise for us, we are in a category 11, gty status. Not sure how active I will be on this cruise meets thread, I hope you don't mind if I follow along and gather information about this cruise.

Welcome to the cruise and welcome to the DISboards! Lurkers are welcome and don't be afraid to post if you have questions OR any comments on whatever topic we have rambled off into! ;)

We're just two days away from our ONE YEAR TO SAIL date. :woohoo:
