This might sound blasphemous, but I can honestly care less whether I meet any of the characters. I'm going for the themes, architecture, rides, and food.

I've been trying to find a touring plan that doesn't include character meet and greets, but I've not had any luck.

Does any one know where I can find any?

Touring Plans.com. They usually highly discourage M&G in their Unofficial Guide, because they don't always have predictable wait times and can take a long time.

I agree with pp, you can plug in any attraction, restaurant, and/ or show on touring plans. You can plug in your age and you have a choice of touring style. I found it really helpful!

My advice is to make your own by starting with the cheat sheets at easywdw.com and taking out anything that doesn't interest you. You can have a really great, completely customized touring plan in less than 5 minutes.

I was trying this, but I've never been to Disney and have no clue where anything is. So I started looking at maps and tried grouping things together based on proximity in the parks. Then I started looking at expected wait times based on expected crowd levels. Then I started getting a headache and was about to have a mental breakdown and decided that vacations are suppose to be fun and relaxing.

I might be completely over analyzing everything too. I figured my first trip would be best if I borrowed someone else's plan.

I'll look into touringplans.com. $13 isn't s lot of money to pay for peace of mind and sanity.

I don't know you could shell out $2 and be that *one* in 292 million and win the powerball......then you'd have millions of "peace of mind" :-)

There are sometimes discounts too. If you buy their Unofficial Guide, you get a discount on the web subscription. I really like the Unofficial Guide. Great advice and actually really funny. I have felt the subscriptions to be totally worth it. We have had great success with the optimized personal plans and have almost always finished ahead of the schedule that the software makes. The only problems I have had are with days or parks when there a lot of shows, like Hollywood Studios. Shows are always hard to schedule though. The software can help with and handle FP+ too. Good luck and have an awesome trip.

Lol, the people at work did a lottery pool and spent over $1500 on tickets. I kept trying to get them to give me the money. I told them it world be the exact same result.

we dropped a whole $2 and had fun being part of the excitement. We matched....ONE number - yahoo....not!

And once you've got the subscription, if you renew early you'll get a discounted renewal rate. I also seem to recall that I got a discount on the subscription for touring plans with DL too because I already had a WDW subscription.

The website also has information on hotels including photos from the room window/balcony that subscribers have provided so that you can see what you would see if you stayed in a particular room. The phone app gives you their estimated wait time for rides in addition to WDW posted times and I find them slightly more accurate than Disney. You can assist in that by providing posted times as well as the actual time for the ride (they have a timer you can set on your phone app) when you're in the parks. I've never actually used them to create a touring plan. I use it for planning and on-line wait times.

There used to be one on their website if you read all the way to the bottom of the homepage. Might still be there.

I've had a TP subscription for years and love it. I used their room fax service last time and got the exact room I wanted at POFQ.

You are completely over analyzing it.

Start with the cheat sheet.
Remove anything that doesn't interest you.
Leave everything else as it is - in exactly the same order.

What is the room fax service?
It helps you choose the perfect room (fax=faq's).
It tells you if the rooms view is obstructed by a column, or a wall, and lots of other things.

That way you don't pay for a water view, and are looking at a pole instead of the river.

It also gives hints and tips on how to guarantee you get the room you want.

It will also send a fax to your resort on your behalf five days before check in.

I just kind of assumed they meant to put faq's. I saw they had something on the website that had info on all the rooms. Didn't know they had an actual fax service.

Thanks for all the help. I went ahead and dropped a ten bucks on a touring plans subscription, mainly for the room fax part. I figured if $10 meant the potential difference between an awesome room and a not so awesome room, it was worth it.

Regarding tp... Although we did not get the exact room we requested by fax from tp, we actually got a better one! We arrived before the 11 am check in, but Carlos (CM@cbr) was a HUGE help and checked rooms that were clean and available close to where we requested and we got a great corner room (2 big windows) and not looking at pole or parking lot! So, we were in Aruba, close to bridge, equidistant from Jamaica & Aruba bus stop, looking out onto green courtyard, nowhere near smokers, and close to parking lot! Gotta love those fabulous CMs!!!
In fact, we would love to hit that particular jackpot again!!!

We are actually staying at CBR. I'll make sure I ask for Carlos.
