Just want to balance some of that BCV negativity going around.....We normally stay at OKW (Love all that space) where we own most of our points. We have a small amount of points (56) at BCV, and decided to cap off our DCL cruise with a couple of nights there.
We arrived by 10:30 a.m. Saturday. They looked around, but had no rooms ready. The CM said she did have a nice room opening up on the 5th floor though, overlooking Epcot, so we took that one. We got the card to call to check when it was ready. We just changed into our swimsuits and enjoyed an hour in the quiet pool, then lunch at the Yacht Club Gallery (steak salads, which were awesome! They must get the meat from the Yachtsmen Steakhouse). We got into our room around 2 p.m.
The studio room, 559, was clean and in good shape. For all the nitpickers out there, there were some nicks on the coffee table, the patio ceiling could use some cleaning, and there was a spot on the granite countertop. Hardly vacation-ruining stuff. I did think the bed was a little hard for my tastes, and will be happy if my dues go for pillowtop beds.
Stormalong Bay was great (that's why we bought there), CMs were friendly. I even did laundry in the laundry room, which worked out great. I liked packing clean clothes.
The new MarketPlace is a terrific addition and a better use of space than what was in there before.
BCV, which in my view is probably the least well put together of the DVC properties, remains a very fun and beautiful place to stay. We had a blast.
