Permits expire in November so around there.I can't recall......when is this supposed to be complete?
Whoa, that's really devastating news. Worse case scenario for any park guest and park operations. They've spent a lot of money and it still not reliable. They need to fix this.So on this very busy Presidents day weekend at WDW. The MyMagic+ system basically quit out and didn't work. If you didn't have a FP for a ride and went in the FP line it worked. CMs were told to check for screenshots or pictures of their app and such but many did not. This wasn't just at one park either all four were down. Many once they figured it out used it to their advantage. Right now their isn't much of a back up system they have tested a few alternatives for when it goes down but none seemed to be used this weekend.
Exactly. you'd think after spend upwards of around 2 billion dollars that when this happens they would have a plan in place to take care of the problem or at least a temporary back up system like for instance paper FPs.Whoa, that's really devastating news. I'm also shocked at the immoral abuse of the system outage. Really disappointed so many people would openly lie like that. I guess I shouldn't, but I still expect humans to be better then that...
They're getting there. It's getting more and more stable. Just not quite there yet.Exactly. you'd think after spend upwards of around 2 billion dollars that when this happens they would have a plan in place to take care of the problem or at least a temporary back up system like for instance paper FPs.
Im not shocked by the abuse of the system. Heck i probably would've done it if I was there. There have been glitches in the past that people have taken advantage of and I assume that will continue. nothing is perfect. The legacy FP system wasn't either.
I agree they need to figure out something for when this happens again because I'm sure it will. They're getting there. It's getting more and more stable. Just not quite there yet.
Going without a backup is a problem. Printing thousands of paper ones is out of the question... They're going to have to put their heads together on that. It goes to show that it's important to have the app with verification before leaving for the park.
Nothing is perfect, but I really did hope that people didn't get in the way of those who honestly took the time to reserve the FPs in advance. What if it was a families' one and only trip to Walt Disney World for a lifetime? They'd spent a couple hundred to get in the gate, and they followed all the rules. Why should they get burned because some opportunistic tourists get in without planning? It's cruel and despicable.
Some of the guys over at wdwmagic were kind of doing it to stick it to the man. Really sad that their rational is so off.
