Saw the piers/platforms being built up over the water last week. First impression was it's really going to change the landscape of the Poly. Thoughts then moved to how cool it could be to stay in a stationary houseboat. I wonder if they'll allow fishing off the deck?
All 20 bungalows are up and outside work is close to completion interior work is still going on. The walkways to the bungalows just started getting railings this week.?? I think they are finished? Or at least very near completion. Are they building something else?
Haunted mansion has opened a week ahead of schedule

What I really think will happen is some type of construction starts mid to late 2015 and it opens in phases with that last phase being in 2020 with the new trilogy. The first phase could open late 2016-2017 depending on what it is. Disneyland is also supposed to be getting Star Wars and it's most likely taking over Toontown and that has been said to start after the 50th celebration so that one would be very likely to open in 2020.
Yes Disney has been working on Star Wars stuff since they bought it they have a division in imagineering dedicated too it. It's just a matter of when not if with Star Wars. This makes more sense to me. I understand your previous point though. I do get Disney can be very meticulous, and agree they have not stated any designs, but I am pretty sure in the on article I read that design work on SW integration began immediately post acquisition. So a roll out type of launch makes much more sense to me as you state above.
I've heard that in terms of money the bungalows will be $1000 or more a night if not using points. Those Poly Bungalows are going to be near impossible to get into, even considering they'll probably be 100 points a night. It's kind of nice to see them going with more studios rooms. Even so, I'm sure they are going to be high points (figure similar to the GF rooms) and impossible to get into unless you own there (also similar to the GF rooms).

yep..... But of course people will spend itAt that rate, I can get a week (or two) in Bora Bora in the REAL bungalows!

I'm sure they will be-- the 2 bed theme park view at BLT are well over 1k.
I have no doubt they'll be charging $1000 a night, but they will predominantly be DVC units. My wonder is what the "per point" rate will be.
BLT Theme Park View ranges 50-98 points per night, or 368-626 points per week.
GF Lake View run 55 -102 points per night, or 407-752 points per week.
My guess is that it'll be in the GF range or maybe slightly higher because of the locale. 400 -750 points per night minimum.
In other words "99% of DVCers will never stay in them expensive".
Well the bungalows are 2 beds, so they will probably be around the TPV at BLT. (100 per night high season) maybe plus something for "they can get it". Since the other rooms are only studios, they will probably end up with a range for views from similar to the GF at 17 to 43 depending on view, season. Maybe a little higher due to size. That's not too prohibitive in my book.
