Poppins dark ride was an awesome concept. Why it never got built it beyond me.Would be great if Baxter's house had all the attractions that Disney would let him build in the park - like the Mary Poppins dark ride

Yep.My understanding bus the original plan was for the Magic Kingdom in WDW to have different dark rides than at Disneyland and Mary Poppins was to be one of them - but then Roy nixed the idea and insisted they repeat what was at Disneyland (per Roy it was to stay true to what Walt built - but per others it was budgetary as it was cheaper to redo what was done before)

Yeah I'm very surprised they didn't keep disneyslnd forever. Sure going back to the original world of color makes sense but Disneyland forever could've stayed forever lol.I'm kind of dissapointed because I missed it. Paint the Night will make a comeback in one way or another, but I really wanted to see Disneyland Forever.
It'll be interesting to see what's coming back. I'm excited about the original World of Color coming back, but can't say I'm too happy about the old firework show.

Yes and no. It is only acceptable when the show they go with in the future is as good or better than the previous. Disneyland Forever is miles ahead Fantasy in the sky...Isn't it refreshing to NOT extend things Into perpetuity though?
I mean...I hear they might even be coming up with a special fireworks at Epcot for the year 2000...I can't wait to see it!!!
(Joking, people...but not really)

Disneyland Forever was really just too incredible, though, to have only lasted just over a yearIsn't it refreshing to NOT extend things Into perpetuity though?

True...but ending "special event" entertainment on time would put the burden to innovate/replace the old stuff back on the management, would it not?
You'd think they would want to continue with a projection based show to save money on the pyro but whatever I'm not them. It's likely a cost issue...I would think
