"Newest" Moms Hangout... take 2!

So...we got an offer on our house last night!! We countered, and our realtor was going over to have them sign their counter to our counter....and now they have cold feet!! It seems to me that they didn't really research buying a house. They didn't know what earnest money was (or that they would have to pay it), they didn't know they would have to pay for a home inspection, they didn't know they were going to have to pay for a year's worth of homeowner's insurance up front...ugh! So now they have until Tuesday to make their decision if they are going to counter our counter, or just reject it. So frustrating!

His pictures turned out fantastic!! And quick! We were in the camera room for 7 minutes, and that included an outfit change!

Love the pictures, Sarah!! I remember when my first DS turned 1, his cake was bright yellow and had green frosting, and I was finding cake and frosting hidden on him for a few days!

Oh, everyones pictures are so cute. Our babies are sure growing up fast!!!

I have great news! I just booked a trip to WDW for 5 nights. My DH came home for lunch today and said he really, really wants to go to WDW after Thanksgiving. We are DVC members so I called Member Services and booked a 1BR for the 2 of us. The Grandma's will be watching the baby for us. I was bummed that we were not going to see the Christmas decorations this year, but now we are. YIPEE!!!

What are your dates? I know a lot of people on here are going around that time!

We'll be there later, with the bigger crowds! :thumbsup2

loving all the pictures!! :goodvibes

We are planning to start Carys on solids (well, cereal) next week. I was told to wait til closer to 6 months but she seems really hungry even after her bottles. I'm so confused though. I know that it should be easy but I am feeling lost! Do I give her cereal before or after her bottle? And how long does she get cereal for before I try vegetables and fruits? When do I know to feed her morning and night? I'm feeling really stressed out and the doctor's office is no help. They just said to try cereal any time between 4 and 6 months and to have her do oatmeal mixed with pear juice. :confused3

He is so cute!! That is awesome that it was so quick.

Annabelle is teething already.:sad1: I was kind of thinking she was for about 2 weeks because she has been drooling like crazy. Tonight our cousin was over and Anna was being fussy and nothing was helping she check her mouth and yup teething. I love her toothless smile. I really wish she would have waited a little longer.

I think it answers all your questions. They are very committed to waiting until 6 months, but that's mostly for bfers. Don't let it turn you off, they still have all the info you need.

We didn't start until 6 months, and we completely skipped rice cereal and oatmeal, so I can't really help from personal experience. I can tell you that you'll both get through it and survive just fine, even though it seems like it's such a big deal right now!

I've been MIA awhile because we moved from DC to AZ. We're officially here, but the moving truck still isn't. We got here 7/26 and have been in a hotel room since then. All 5 of us in the 1 room for nearly 2 weeks is driving us all a little crazy!

Once we actually get chairs and, most importantly, a place to put the baby!, then I can get back on the thread.

I will say now that we just started Scarlett on solids last week and we also skipped the cereals. For me it was primarily a convenience factor, as we don't have a highchair till our stuff is here and cereal is just messier. We started avocado last week and banana yesterday. I've been doing it before I bf her, but not when she's too hungry.

Fence guy is here so i have to run!

Glad you're back! I was wondering where you'd been, but then I remembered you were moving! Hope the move went well!

Oh my!! That would drive me insane too! Hope everything gets to you ASAP!

So I went to check in online for my trip next week and discovered that I never actually canceled the first day of the trip with the TA. :scared1: So we'll be there on Friday, not Saturday! lol Luckily I already had the extra day off work and since we're driving, no worries about flights.:woohoo:

Sooooo....we are moving!!! Our house was on the market for 3 weeks until we accepted an offer!!! I am so excited, and nervous, too! I didn't think it would be so quick! We close on our current house on September 14th, and close on the new house on September 17th!

Congratulations! That's very exciting! We moved into our new home when I was 6 months pregnant... It was the best and worst experience ever! I hope your move goes well!
