You've been taking trips left and right, and everything has worked out well, so I'm going to be positive that fares will come down for you. I wish I had a private plane to go fetch you all!!!

I've got my share of homework...mostly reading and research...I just spent the last hour or more looking up a graphic designer. Tomorrow I'll go back to my writer's strike details research. My chemistry class seems like it'll be mostly about taking good notes. I have yet to go to my chem lab and macroeconomics classes.

Here she is....

I think I've gotten a little closer to the wonderment a Grandma must feel. My nephew is my pride and joy and we spend a lot of time with him. (He works the pitt for Wilson on his go-kart races). He is the baby in our family that I first baby sat for. I walked him around our backyard one night for hours to keep him happy and not crying. Such wonderful emotional memories from ~30+ years ago.

Can't wait to share those same bonding times with his beautiful little girl....

p.s. she isn't offically named just yet, so tomorrow I'll let ya know what they have decided on and tell you what and why I have nicknamed her allready.(yup blabbermouth auntie strikes again )

I went by Heath Ledger's building the other night, and took some pictures with my cell phone, which does the beautiful memorial no justice. I don't know how to lighten these for better clarity, but you can see the candles, flowers, and notes that people left. This was a guy you'd see walking around with his girlfriend and daughter, and no one would hound them. He recently moved from Brooklyn to SOHO, but his gf and the baby still live here. I didn't feel comfortable going by there, because they may have been inside, and I didn't want to be a gawker if they could see out the window. Heath was so loved around here, for being a famous regular guy, if you know what I mean. In real life, he was so much more handsome than he came out in his photos. It was such a shock to find out that he died. I hope no one minds that I posted the pictures.

Tigg, I hope you are feeling better, my dh had been sick all day yesterday.. getting sick and stuff.. just NOT good. He never gets sick..

Our trip to WDW was great.. had a wonderful bday. sad news.. we came home on the Tues night.. the next day one of my fur babies was running a temp.. I made an appt, and went to work. came home from work to take her to the vet, and she was already gone. She would have been 10 the next day. My other two kitties were w/her when my dh found her. The older kitty is very upset, as they were life partners.

It is because of this that I have no written in so long. This week I am starting to feel human again... just a little bit.

Our trip to WDW was great.. had a wonderful bday. sad news.. we came home on the Tues night.. the next day one of my fur babies was running a temp.. I made an appt, and went to work. came home from work to take her to the vet, and she was already gone. She would have been 10 the next day. My other two kitties were w/her when my dh found her. The older kitty is very upset, as they were life partners.

Oh Kelly, how sad. Did you have her for the full 10 years? I don't have any pets, but I can see how people love their pets so much, and it's a hard thing to go through when they pass on. That's one of the reasons I'm afraid to get a dog, because I'll get so emotionally attached, and would be crushed if/when their time comes. I feel sad for your other 2 kitties. I'm sure you're giving them lots of extra love to help them get through it.

I'm happy to hear you had a nice birthday trip to WDW. Care to write a trip report, pleeeeeeeeease!

Hi all.....got back from the mtns okay...what a mess they were...a few mud slides on my way up...a few downed branches - and absolutely torrential downpours as our 95 clients arrived...uggghhh - then to top it off - a transformer blew up & we were without power....can you scrapbook by flashlight???? OF COURSE you can!! fortunately we only had to for about 2 hours & PGE got it all fixed

Tigg....are you feeling much better?

Aisling...LOVE the shoes...just don't wear them when you have long distances to walk...just wear them for "looks"

KAZ....you absolutely have to find some airfare that's doable....oh we NEED you on that ship!!!!

I am much better today thank you...I was content to be sick over the weekend and not while I was supposed to be in class.

Thanx for the pix Aisling...he really was a great looking guy, I liked him moreso because of how real and down to earth he seemed to be - not just a pretty face.

Adrian's 22nd birthday is this weekend, he's having a roller skating party!!!!

He's invited his friends to join him at the rink on saturday night~

ok, the short story. When Jeremy (her Daddy) was little he got some walkie talkies for a present. He opened them and said "WATTIE TATTIES" and we said "WATTIE TATTIES" and he said "they aren't wattie tatties, they are wattie tatties" He knew we said it wrong, but he could not say it correctly. For his whole life his aunties have teased him about the WATTIE TATTIES.

Sophia's nickname is WATTIE TATTIE and I'm her crazy auntie.

I can do a trip report. I might feel up to that in a day or two.. It feels like a life time ago.

It is devastating to lose a pet. They become a member of the household.. and you keep waiting for them to come running up to you.. or see them in their favorite spot. I did have Cinnamon for close to 10 years. I forget how many weeks she was when I brought her home, but I did have her from a kitten on. I still have Figaro who is 11 yrs old and Marie who is 8 1/2 yrs old. And yes, both Figaro and Marie were named after Disney characters.

Sophia, what a pretty name for the babies.. and no.. not the Wattie Tattie.. lol. A pretty name for a pretty baby girl.

Very sad. Sounds like she went peacefully and naturally tho', surrounded by her kitty pals. I'm a dog owner and losing them is the worst thing. Every time I say "never again" but my life's not complete without my four-legged friends, so... Don't suppose I'll ever be without at least one...

Lovely photos and beautiful name - Sophia is the Greek version of Sophie (my DD's name) and means "wisdom"...

Wattie Tattie is the babytalk version of Walkie Talkie and means "two-way radio"...

that is usual number - there are 7 consultants & between us we fill the place with 102 pretty much maxxed....we have had 105 before...but gets a little crowded...

GOOD - there's nothing better than CUTE SHOES!!!! I just wish i had 'cuter feet' - they're not ugly...just wide so hard to find my size in all the really cute styles
