I've been holding out on dolphin experiences until I can get my kids to Discovery Cove...anyone else here ever been? It's totally worthy~

Xcaret Eco park

This is one at the top of my list~

I took my girls to Discovery Cove in the summer of 2006, and it was really amazing. In fact, I would go back there before I would think about doing a dolphin interaction anywhere else, because the entire day was so perfect.

Oh yes!!! We went back in 2004 and had an amazing time! :cloud9: I'm somewhat scared of the sea so it was a way of swimming with dolphins - something I never thought I'd get to do and so magical and unforgettable... I wanna go back in 2009... :thumbsup2 I also like the whole conservation/eco aspect of Discovery Cove - I've read some horrid stories about experiences available elsewhere... :sad2:

How could shopping not be my thing!!!! I mean, come on... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Seriously tho' - great idea Brenda... :thumbsup2
pretty much thought you'd be right in with that!!!:thumbsup2

Enjoying the quiet of the morning...ryan's friends have had a great time so far...they left last night about 8:15 to go 'air soft' shooting - similar to paint ball & back about 10:45. DH & I watched Buddy Holly story & went to bed at 11:30. The boys went to sleep i'm assuming very early this a.m. & most likely won't be awake for hours....:woohoo: so i don't have to cook b/fast till they wake up:woohoo:

We are having a 'family' dinner tonite at Chevy's Fresh Mex - then everyone will come back here for cake & ice cream...

Happy Monday, Magic Mateys!!!
It's wet, windy and yuk here today - 23 degrees apparently...

But on a brighter note, fellow cruisers, I've only just noticed that I came second in a WDW Christmas photo competition on the UK boards!!!! I may have posted this before but what the ...

Here's my photo...

Kaz, beautiful photo! As far as I'm concerned, your photo is no.1! I hope they do the castle like that next year, too, so I'll get to see it in person before we cruise. Thanks for posting, as I can never get enough of that gorgeous site.

Quiet, slow day here today. Jesse is off for the week due to exams, and he's loving every moment of not being in school. His breathing has greatly improved due to his surgery, and that's a load off my heart, as I was so worried about it.

I was thinking about the cruise, and I hope the week doesn't go by fast. Last cruise, it felt longer than a week, and I'm hoping for that again. But I'm making myself feel better by planning a Universal trip for the summer after the cruise, Hard Rock hotel, Discover Cove, the works. Staying onsite at Universal is awesome, with no waiting on lines at the parks. One of the best vacations we ever had was at Universal, with a lot of hanging out at the hotel, relaxing by the pool, enjoying the hotel amenities and activities. I'm working the finances now, so that barring any unforseen majorly huge expense popping up, it won't send us to the poorhouse!

Enjoy the day!

I hope you get to see Cindy's Christmas Castle too, Aisling!!! Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes and took my breath away... :cloud9:

::yes:: I'm hoping for that too! :thumbsup2 I'm sure our cruise in September felt longer than the equivalent length vacation at WDW - so fingers crossed...

Sounds like a great plan!!! We're planning to be in Orlando during August 2009 - we think we'll try renting a villa for a week before going on the Eastern Caribbean cruise and then staying at the AKV afterwards... :cloud9: Discovery Cove is a must-do list for that vacation too... OMG I'm addicted to vacation-planning... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao:
