New Ticket Upgrade Policy?

And there still lies the question. What is "current value" and how is it decided? They aren't really answering that part.

I also am returning my tickets to UT and repurchasing tickets I don't have to worry about upgrading. I'm slightly less stressed out now. :thumbsup2

And at least they're not saying you can no longer upgrade them at all. Can you imagine getting there and being told that?! OMG, that was what was giving me a panic attack!

So far no dice. Went to IG at Epcot, ask CM if he could price bridge and he said yes. Then he told me the ticket we paid $544 for was only worth $524 and I would need to pay the difference. I politely declined and he and manager both said, "everyone else we tell you the same thing!" With great attitude I might add. Will try front gate tomorrow.

Did you use it to enter the park first?

I ve received this info a couple of times OUTSIDE the gate. We use our tickets and upgrade INSIDE at guest relations.

Maybe, they receive different training? ;)

Did they tell you exactly why they could only give $524?
At this point, I'd almost be glad to take just a $20 loss to upgrade.:(

Yes we used it first. They tried to say that was the current gate price of a 6 day PH with WP&M NE ticket. That is ridiculous given that we paid $544 for it at a $65 discount before the price increase.

And yes if I have to pay the extra I will but I'm going to try a couple options first.

Well, at least they didn't refuse to upgrade at all!!!

Mousesavers says that ticket is $649.65 with tax. That's about. $610 without tax I calculated.

That's what I told them :). Plus, I called Disney twice and asked how much it was worth and they gave me that number both times.

Are they reading the current prices from their computer screen? Maybe there's a system problem showing incorrect prices.

I wonder if anyone ever goes back to the CMs that denied them and tells them that it was done properly somewhere else.
