I was just wondering if the discount is available for November 19-27 as I will be at CSR? I have a package booked through AAA with the discount and nwas wondering if this deal is better? I do not have the visa but if the public codes come out I was wondring if it woulod be worth it. Thanks for any help you can give.Congrats to all who saved a bit! :cheer2:

Before the computer crash, my friend who we are traveling with was able to get the Visa Package in the CBR for 11-22 through 11-27 .... :thumbsup2 we wanted the POR (or better yet WL) but no more packages for these 2 hotels.

Ok, I think I figured out the discount. Any and all packages created are 20% in value season & 25% in regular season.

For the mathmatical airheads out here, did you figure it out to be 25% off the ENTIRE package, including dining and any specials such as park hopper, or just portions of it?

Funny thing is I don't plan on taking advantage of the discount :rotfl2:
I tried but can not convince DH to go.

I did not include dining but would love to know.

I wanted to add that if I am right, I would advise anyone planning on returning to purchase the 10day no exp tickets.

Has anyone else tried to figure it out?

That doesn't really work for my dates, my package is for 6 nights value season at CR wings and it is $3092.90, rack rate is $3359.90. If I separate the room only portion it works out that i get a discount of a little less than 14%. And if I wanted to book the MK view it would be even less % wise. The 3 different quotes I got were all a flat $ amount of a rack rate.

Maybe the CM that booked my package was misinformed and I need to double check it. I actually had 2 different CMs price out different resorts for me, and they both gave me the same quotes. Could they both be wrong? :confused3

I could be wrong too. I gathered everyone's information from this thread & most came up with 20% or 25%.

I would rather you be right and me get a bigger discount ;)

Perhaps I'm looking @ it differently but, when pricing out CR my calculations show:

20% off rack rate of room
PLUS
you must add on cost of whatever tix purchase you choose & appropriate DP for room occupants.

If you factor in MINIMUM 1 day base tix purchase & DP
(IMO, way to go, can trade $ value toward any future tix purchase...AP, MYW upgrade, etc.),
our savings drops to 14% of overall pkg.

To truly det. if a good deal, you have to be planning on utilizing DP.

This was on another thread in here:

The new package is good for the following dates:

10/1-11/18
11/24-12/1
12/9-12/23

The example given was 5 nights value $355 per adult $176 per child & includes 6 day base tickets.

It seems most are getting discounts for dates over Thanksgiving week. If so, the above dates don't match what's been given as discounts. Are the dates different for the Dis. Visa as opposed to the GP code that is yet ot be released??

She told me nothing will be done tonight as they close at 10pm.
OH MY GOSH, they are gonna get slammed at 7am !!!
I was on hold for 35 minutes this morning to get thru to apply the Visa Code, but worth it, as I said, I got $400.54 knocked off our package !

But I have been trying all day to get thru for my sister's reservation.....
Will have to wait to see what happens.... :confused3 :hourglass

Here's the example DisneyVisa gave:

5 nights 6 day basic tickets
$355 adult $176 child family of 4: $1062

So as a comparison:

Value resorts
Rack reg. season: $99x5=$495
rack value $79X5=$395
6 days basic tickets 2A2C= $907
Rack price room & tickets $1402/$1300

visa discount $340/$1300

So unless the room is $31 per night there should be a discount on the tickets too.

I called visa, they have no idea what code I was talking about, I called wdw earlier, they said I have to know the code to be able to apply it. Help!

Last year we went over Thanksgiving week as well and I do recall that they offered a room discount for that time.We were allowed to have the entire lenghth of stay at the discounted price because our stay started and ended through the discount even though Thanksgiving was officially blacked out. I thought this was great of them and hope they do the same this year as well. I am still wondering if this discount is better than the regular AAA package discount. Would anyone know? Thanks again!

I changed 2 diff reservations each for 8 nights at csr Thanksgiving week. One room has 2 adults the other 2 adults 2 children both with park hopper passes for 7 days. I saved the exact same amount $440.00 on each room - so the discount must be on the room only portion

I am trying to convince DH to do a quickie trip December 9-12 (partly because the Chicago Cubs will be there and partly because I want to see Steven Curtis Chapman narrate the Candlelight Processional). We had been joking about going for a couple of weeks...not that there's a promotion going on, we might be able to make this a reality!! But that's an awfully big "might."

New Disney Visa
11/29-12/4-6day park hopping option w/dinning
Travel Ins Included
AKL-Pool View-$2435.34

I don't understand how this is working. I got my discount this morning off my POFQ reservation ($225 off a 5 night/6 day base tic/dining package) but out of curiosity I asked for a quote for WL. I thought that WL and AKL were about the same price but the quote I got for WL (courtyard view) was $2850. Why is there a $415 difference in these quotes? And the quote above includes park hopping and travel insurance which I don't have. I don't get it!

Forgive me if I missed this answer on this thread already, but here's my question....

Those of you who had existing reservations, were they already on your disney visa? For those who did, in all cases do they have to cancel out and then rebill at the same time? What I'm wondering is, what if you only had $500 available on your card, obviously you could not take on a $2000 or so charge, while waiting for the other to credit back. Does this make sense? How did/does it work? Can they just refund back the price difference?

The lady I talked to said that if you already paid with the disney visa they would just refund the difference and that would be it they don't cancel the whole payment and recharge. In my case I had used another card so first she applied the discount to my existing ressie. She didn't have to cancel and rebook. Then she returned my 200 deposit to the card I paid with and charged the 200 to my disney visa. I have to pay the rest with the disney visa at least 45 days before vacation. Origionally she never asked me how I paid my deposit so after she applied the discount she was ready to hang up and said I was all set. I was like doesn't the deposit have to be on my disney card and told her I had paid with a different card. I didn't want to just let it go for fear of what problems it might cause later. She asked me to hold so she could check and that's when she came back and said she would refund the 200 and charge it to the disney card because the whole thing had to be paid by disney visa.
