Husband really wanted to stay at POR for theming and would pay. He is afraid of bad bus servive in the large CBR and being stuck in the back of a huge resort. I would like to save. Hoping to call back on the 17th and find out they are releasing more rooms at POR to the package.
So I call today to see if there was and room at the POR with the Visa Package, before i even the ask the man say I can have a reservation and a room on hold.. must calcel one now! Cancel POR and hang up, he is not a nice person. Call back again to make sure he cancel the right thing and check for POR still no luck. Call back again to leave deposit on CBR. CM says money was due yesterday? (was told 11/29) I talked to 2 other people neither one tell me this today? Do they all work at the same place. Thank god I paid and got my room. Still might try tomorrow to see if they release more roomto GP and get POR. My husband is looking into rehab hosiptal formy disney adiction

We stayed at the CBR last year and I was very scepticle based on reviews. To my surprise--we LOVED CBR! The bus service could not have been better! We were there thanksgiving week and did not have to stand on ANY buses (except right after Wishe/parade). We had a wonderful experience. The resort is large but aren't they ALL. If you are worried about size maybe request prefered location. I believe it's $10 add./night. Have a wonderful trip and don't waste months before your trip worring about the resort like I did. All this did was take away time that I could have been getting excited about where I was staying! Plus, if you have kiddies, they now have a Pirate Adventure that leaves from the Marina. Good luck!! :thumbsup2

I just called to see if I could get a discount on my package and was told that there were no discounts offered on suites only on standard rooms, we are staying in a honeymoon suite at the WL. I don't know if this was already mentioned (didn't read the whole thread) or if it was just common knowledge but thought I would share.

I just called our AAA agent and applied the code and got $255 off our reservation for November. :cool1: :cool1: :teeth: :thumbsup2

I'm a bit confused I called this morning and was told no Disney Visa rate on value resorts but I see alot of people have discounts on POP...We have ressies at ASMu and the CM told me we could stay at PORS at the same price we are staying at ASMU with park hopper and dining, which is a no brainer since we fell in love when it was Dixie landings...my problem is my mother inlaw is going also and does not have Disney Visa so I think we are staying at ASMu...maybe I will call back and ask why the discount on POP but not the other values... :confused3

i also re-booked to day!! we were goining to stay at POP (dec 2-6). but had to changs to ASsports( same dates). we will be saving about $135. there were no more rooms at POP,ASM,or ASMu thats why we had to move. not to thrilled with staying @ sports but i'm sure dh and ds will love it!

I called in early am. I got 4 nights at GF Lagoon View with 1 day base tickets and Dining for 2A 3C for 2709.00 I was quoted 2871.00 a few days ago. Savings of $162.00 - not as much as I hoped for but the best price I've seen yet. Thanks!!

The discount is probably just sold out for those resorts. There may be a public code coming out tomorrow though that MIL could use... keep your eyes and ears open here on the code board!

I called AAA today and they applied to code to my reservation. I saved $568.00 on my two rooms. I as so excited.

I finally got through this evening, I had to change from the POP to the Allstar Music, my dates are 11/30-12/5. I really wanted the POP so I think I will try to change resorts later, but the AAA rate was $603.00 for 1 adult, 5 nights 1 day ticket and dining. The Visa rate is 535.05.
This gave me a savings of about 67.90, not as much as everyone else but any savings is great.

THE CRO PUT THE ROOMS I WANTED ON HOLD FOR 2 WEEKS. i HAVE TO MAKE A DEPOSIT BY 11/29 IF i WANT THEM
never heard of such a long hold...over 3 months?

I called this morning and was able to change my reservation, saved $492.00 :cool1: . I had to change resorts from POFQ-POR Riverside. Oh well, was considering not switching. I hung up and talked to dh, he thought I was nuts for not changing, so I called back to see if it was still available and it was, . Wishing everyone else Good Luck for tomorrow, to everybody who is waiting for the GP Code. I hope it works out for you!! Just a note for people who have applied for the card and havn't gotteni it yet, the CM told me I didn't need the Disney rewards to book it because I already had a deposit, which wasn't a Disney Credit card. She did tell me that I would need it by the time I paid in full. I have already gotten my Credit Card #, but not my physical card yet, so that should not be a problem.

Just saw on Mousesavers that there is a new discounted package available for Disney Visa holders which should also become available to the general public around Aug 17. It is for travel from Oct 1-Dec 23 (I think) and there are no details yet as to what the offer is. Good luck everyone!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Just saved close to $600.

I posted about the deal I got, which was basically I paid $6 more at CSR to add dining for 4 nights. I have to apologize. I was at work and was posting quickly. I forgot to thank the wonderful OP for this thread. Thank you so much for getting the news out. I hope you have a magical day!! pixiedust:

The discount was good for all the Values earlier in the week. I had the choice of ASMU or POP on Tuesday. There is a general code out today for anyone so MIL could use that to get the same rate as you. You could still stay at PORS for the same pirce ans so can she.

Hope that made sense

I cannot believe this! Using the Visa code, we were originally scheduled at CR, of course no availability there. The CM on the line was so helpful, we are now booked at the WL in a standard view room for a savings of $1032.85 which they are just going to put on my room key vice crediting my credit card. That is my spending money for the week. Thanks to this board I saved a ton of $$. Just had to share......
