New MyMagic+ 'Memory Maker' photography package begins Friday

I'm a little confused, I already pre ordered my PP CD for my arrival in January.

The plan was that my parents (who arrive 5 days earlier) would get a PP card and so would we, then we would essentially load both cards onto one CD. Is this still possible with the new MM?

I just put my deposit down on our reservation package the week before Thanksgiving. Had them add PP+ to my reservation package. Our trip is not until June 2014. 2 questions:

1) When do I receive my PP+ voucher (or card)?

2) On MDE there is a link for Memory Maker Purchase where you type in your ID number. Can the PP+ ID number (whenever I get it) be entered here?

Thanks!

1- My trip is in May 2014. I bought my PP+ online and I got mine in about 7-10 days after ordering. It'll be in a small cardboard box, small enough to fit in your mailbox. Inside will be the voucher (what you take to the park to exchange for the card) taped to the stock photo CD. Inside that CD will be the redemption code needed once your vacation is over.

2- I've seen that too! I'd also like to know this. :)

Does anyone have an extra stock photo CD from a previous trip that they want to part with for a small fee? The MyMagic+ package will work out fine for us, but I'd like to have some of the stock images for memory books, and I don't want to shell out an extra $30 for it.

I purchased the photo pass+ for our November trip this year and enjoyed it. My question is do the stock pictures change over the years? Or are they the same ones year after year?

I ordered pp+ and my latest gallery Cd seemed to have different pics on it than my last 2 and packaging design had changed

Just ordered today and was told the change to magic maker is official and the only change is no more stock photos :( same price....

Thanks fire14 looks like I might have to pay the $30 to get them year after year.

Today was Blizzard Beach for us, so no photos taken. Will find out about the linking later.

With the old PP+ system, you didn't need to purchase multiple packages, just one PP+ package for all people. Then get a PP card for each person & link all PP cards into the PP+ package. I'm still unsure how this works with the new system although the PP booth said it still works, but need to be done online in MDE. I haven't found out how yet.

To follow up, I've discovered the hard & the easy way to link the 18 people on our reservation.

The hard way: Log into each person's MDE account, befriend/befamily each of the other 17 people. Give each person access to your photos. Repeat for each of the 18 people in the group. This would take about 5 hours to do, I think.

The easy way: Take all 18 MagicBands to a PhotoPass booth & ask them to link them. Takes about 10 minutes.

Now, any photo taken on any MagicBand, or using the PP+ card (which has been linked to one of the MDE accounts) can be seen by everyone in his own MDE account.

Well it hasn't worked the way it should. Will have to visit a desk again to try to link them again

For the voucher you turn into the parks was it taped to the outside of the stock CD case or actually taped to the stock Cd itself on the inside of the Cd case?

I feel like this is so dumb... but the 3 day window thing is messing me up. Is it that->I will order MM as long as it is 3 days before my arrival and the 45 days won't start until the first day a picture is taken and "linked" to the account?

I think my brain is tired from all these changes and it has just decided to quit on me. Please correct/guide me...:headache:

3 days is the waiting period for starting to take photos. If you bought memory maker on the web site then took pictures tomorrow those photos won't be eligible.

Photos expire 45 days after they are taken.

When you download your first photo, the photos active in your account become available to download as well as any taken in the next 30 days.

You just need to purchase it more than 71 hours and 59 minutes and 59 seconds before your first photo is taken.

I'm still trying to understand exactly how MM works, and if it will work for us.

DSIL and DN are going to be at WDW for 7 days. We will be arriving at WDW for 9 days, 5 days after they leave. This involves a period of 21 days. From what I understand, you can download pictures taken during a 30 day period. I would like to purchase MM at least 3 days before DSIL's trip, and add her to my Friend's and Family. As I understand it, this will allow us to each view the pictures from both trips, and download the ones we want to our computers or a CD.

Am I understanding this correctly, or am I missing something?

For the voucher you turn into the parks was it taped to the outside of the stock CD case or actually taped to the stock Cd itself on the inside of the Cd case?

The voucher you take to the parks is taped to the outside of the stock photo CD. You will not have to open the CD case to get the voucher to take to the park.

OK my turn for a question since I am just sooo confused :confused3 I purchased the PP+ for our trip next Sept. So I will have to return it now? If I wait to trade it in when we get there then I cant take pictures till day 3 of our trip?
