I may get 'dinged' for this, but it is not an advertisement or anything. I ran across someone selling new Tomberlin NEV / golf carts out of Ridgeland, Mississippi (just North of Jackson). I had a brother and a friend both interested in them, so we drove over to see them (a little over a hundred miles from us).
Just a little background info first. Tomberlin E merge carts are technically NEV's (Neighborhood Electric Vehicles) that are street licenseable and legal in about 40 states for roads 35MPH & under, they do 25mph). They have head lights, tail lights, turn signals, windshield wiper, speedometer/odometer, seat belts, 4 wheel brakes, etc.. The picture on my signature is a Tomberlin E-2 with the rear seat kit & extended roof.
The story is that this guy's father & another person went together to open up an NEV cart rental I think around Destin. With all the oil spill & stuff, they only were able to put half the original 70+ cart fleet in use and is getting rid of the rest, which have not been used.
He has various carts left over, E-2's (2 seater) & E-4's (four seater) in various models and colors from the basic to the LE models. ALL the carts come with the factory installed extra 2 person rear seat kit (with seatbelts). All the carts carry the factory installed/mounted QED charger. Of course they all have the original Certificate of Origin, so it can be titled if you want to.
The asking price for the E-2's, is $6,500. I checked the other week and the current Fed tax credit is 10% of the purchase price. In Louisiana, you get another 10% only if you register it.
If you PM me, I will send you his info.
