jgates~ As sorority secretary, I am taking copious notes on the recent sorority high jinx by Disbug, #1HM and any other questionable activities!

We can't get away with anything with Mouseteacher! And obviously #1HM has left her stick at home while she is enjoying her mother/son trip at WDW! We will TRY to behave!

zurgswife! Gave NO BADSHOES a mention in several parts of my Christmas trip report! Here is a Link to one BadShoe!

I have almost finished my entire trip report from this Christmas! If anyone wants to read our story it is on the Trip Reports Board. I'll try to post a link.

WOW!! What a 24hrs... My family and I went to NY to see my mom and sister and Celebrate my 40th birthday with family....we left PA about 9:30am on Saturday and arrived 12:45pm in NY.....(not bad...we even had an Hour back up)...any how I arrive we hang out and have lunch...then a little while later mom takes us down to the basement...for a look down memory lane....She has made 3 poster boards and filled them with pictures of my life....WOW.....It was awesome especially for my kids....

Then we play games for a while in the basement, the phone rings a few times....I'm awaiting the arrival of my sister and her family...so we just hang out and chat.....a little while later....I hear footsteps up stairs....Cool sis is here (or so I thought)

Out of the Blue I hear a familiar voice yelling down the basement "I hear there is a party here!!!" It was my dad....my eyes about pop out of my head...then I run to the steps and see he is also with my step mother from NC...( for those newbies I need to interject that neither my dad or step mom are in very good health...step mom is battling breast/bone cancer...it's getting really rough...and my dad has heart problems and is having surgery in a few weeks on his prostate..) I'm in tears hugging and kissing them....I couldn't believe they were there...in my mom's house no less....guess by gones have finally become by gones.....

So, we hang out for a while and about an hour later foot steps again...but this time I know whats up because of an earlier faux pa by my mom and step dad.....It's my Aunt and Uncle from TX....WOW!!!!!

We have presents and dinner and cake. An absolutley wonderful day.....AMAZING 40th celebration.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hi to all.....had a nice weekend with old friends that we meet every MLK weekend in the center of Illinois. They come from all directions. We used to all live near each other. We have been gone for 15 years and we still keep in touch. Every year we remember how important it is to keep in touch.

Disbug...I will check out your trip report tomorrow when my eyes aren't so droopy. Want to be awake for that.

My ds just got back to school tonight. Sorry to see him go. His last semester. I can hardly believe it. They grow up so fast. Who knows what the next chapter will be in his life? Probably law school and more tuition! ACK!

Couldn't believe the article posted by Montessori in the yearbook. Assaulting Mickey! How dare he? Some people are sick.

Have a great weekend, fellow teachers......if you get MLK weekend off! I do! Hope #1HM is having a wonderful trip. Can't wait to hear about AKL concierge!

IT WAS PATRIOT"S DAY IN MT HOUSE!!!
...and it was a day to celebrate b/c....................................
The Pats are going to the Superbowl!

Thanks, Disbug! My house was crazy fun - DS(20) had his college friends over to watch the game. We had so much fun cheering. This was so sweet after our Red Sox season.

"GO PATS!" I'm just THRILLED they WON!!

The beach was FAB Mouseteacher! Glad you liked the pic, and the sunny wishes too. How nice to read your DS was over with all his pals to watch the game. I can imagine it was a FUN day for all. My DM & DF LOVE the Pats (They are in NY), and I could swear I heard their cheering all the way out here! LOL.

Muffy~What a nice treat~! Thanks for the Room #, our friends want an exec. suite, but near the pool. I'll pass the info along to them. I loved the pictures you posted! You look quite "relaxed" there on the sofa. If you have more pics, I'd LOVE to see them. ^_^

*Extra Note~If any of you truly LOVE coffee...and are ever looking for the BEST coffee, espresso, etc. machine: Capresso Jura Impressa S9 is the ONE! I received this machine for Christmas (one of my special surprise gifts, another was in a little aqua blue bag from a place where they do not serve breakfast, along with the Disney's Teddy Bear and Doll Convention Steiff BIG AL from the CBJ, plus more). I am in love with this baby, it makes the BEST coffee I've ever enjoyed. It tastes even better in my SDS mug. Mmmmm. I nearly get high from the aroma as the cup is filling. It's a serious machine, but delivers a beverage from the GODS of Coffee! It's very pretty too...and looks fab on my counter.

I bought DH a few surprises...including a full-size commercial popcorn maker for his theater room! We ALL love this toy too. It pops the BEST popcorn, (Kettle corn, caramel corn, cheddar corn, etc.) in the WORLD! The aroma is also intoxicating. Yep...we're still having fun with our christmas toys! LOL.
