*waving* We're about to leave for a hockey tournament so I need that hockey stick! LOU???

Pretty please? On a serious side, we actually have to buy a new "end" for DS's stick before we head out of town into the great white north. Go JACKALS!
Thank you for the information on amarula! It was delicious! The best way I can describe it is that it tasted like bailey's with a hint of frangelico... but its not really a frangelico taste. Suffice to say, on the rocks is perfect! *not bad in coffee, either!*
Swan v AKL .. they're different, so hard to compare. We honestly liked the Swan's breakfast selection more than AKL's, but the Swan doesn't compare with the night time desserts and cordials that AKL offers. There was one night where I had sent DS up to grab a diet coke for me and even he described it as people lining up like cattle waiting for the evening offerings to arrive. The hot appetizers are fantastic, but no one should be using them as a meal replacement! Since it was DS and I, we were doing a lot of people watching and I have to say that the "weird" I must get my monies worth behavior seemed to cross income barriers. I only saw inappropriate dress on one night, and that was a huge family coming in from the pool all in their bathing suits. I did enjoy going up there once during the afternoon and quietly enjoying an ice tea and reading the paper while DS watched Toon Disney. We could have done the same thing in our room, but it was a nice change to sit on a couch! The staff seemed very well organized and quickly had anything that anyone requested, even if it was wine at a non-wine time. Two nights I enjoyed the South African wines, one night the white, the second the merlot. Due to schedules or lack of schedules, the amarula was only enjoyed one night!
Danny LOVED akl! We kept on calling home telling them to "send more money we're going to live here". LOL We had the savannah to ourselves, way out on the end where no one wants to be (HA! It's the best location!) There is so much to do there and to watch. I love the smell of BOMA and even the long jaunt to our room was nice with all of the look out windows in the hallways. He did some of the activities and enjoyed them. I was laughing watching the CM do the trivia activity with the kids. He had a mutiny on his hands and didn't know what to do about it!

He did fine, though he says he will NEVER be a teacher!
We didn't stop at the S/D but we did wave to it each time we passed it! We almost were going to make a stop there on our way to EPCOT from MGM, but the boat broke at the dock at MGM and we ended up taking a bus to a different park.
I do have to share our first day there. We decided to go to MGM so DS changed into his "park gear" which was a POC shirt, Pal Mickey, and his SM hat complete with lit stars. As we were walking into the park this big huge gruff man cracks up laughing pointing at DS then yells "party hard!" at him with a huge smile on his face! We all started laughing then, and it made for a nice park entrance on our first day!
Parks were empty on Thursday, started filling up for the three day weekend but nothing was too long of a wait. MGM was all walk-on on Thursday. Friday we walked up to the castle in the morning, and were immediately seated at a table for two, windowside, in the castle! So glad I didn't fight for those PSs since I ended up getting breakfast at the exact time I wanted it by walking up! DS wasn't thrilled to be eating with the princesses, but he was glad to get a few more autographs, and he knew it made mommy happy.
I have more info... but must pack for the hockey tournament! Still looking for that elusive hockey stick..... heard a rumor it was on ebay LOL. I think someone needs to take five in the penalty box! LOL
Happy weekend!
