Scroll to the bottom for the deck plans. https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/why-cruise-disney/wish/
Not a lot of the generally cheaper rooms.
Is the maiden voyage a double dip?
What are the chances that the maiden voyage WON'T sell out prior to May 26, when Silver CC members can book? What is the precedent on maiden voyages and how fast they sell out? Did the Dream/Fantasy even make it to general sale for their maidens?
I feel like since this one isn't a transatlantic (weren't all the other ones?), it will sell out FAST.
Were in the same boat. So to speak. Im at 11 and the rest of my family is gold with 6.Oh geez.. THEY ADDED LEVELS???I was so excited I was platinum too... darn it! I "only" have 11 sailings so I'm back to being in the middle of the pack.
On both the Dream and Fantasy, there were cabins available well after the initial booking date. Like months later. I know about 5 months before the Fantasy maiden DCL dumped.several dozen cabins of every class into the system that weren't there before. We were on the Fantasys and I was looking weekly out of curiosity. What are the chances that the maiden voyage WON'T sell out prior to May 26, when Silver CC members can book? According to the available deck plans, there's only 2 banks of elevators. 8 to a bank.I think some people were hoping for some single rooms somewhere. Also, no aft verandahs at the back of the ship - only oceanviews.
What's in the front? I can't figure out what those rooms facing front are.
Definitely more concierge rooms. On the down side, more people using concierge spaces and vying for concierge amenities on Castaway Cay.
It might be interesting to compare the artist rendering of the Fantasy atrium looking quite "white" compared to how it now looks in real life. I'm not saying the Wish will be as "dark" as the Fantasy, but in the perspective of the Wish picture below, we are seeing a LOT of ceilings, and not much wall/window space on the upper floors. When you actually get there, the color accented railings and other things out of view (we know there's an elaborate stage opposite the staircase) may present a much more pleasing view. Also, with all the pixie dust portrayed in the artwork, I'm guessing there will be plenty of use of projection effects in that space. What I think I'd miss most in the grand hall are the glass elevators. I love using those elevators to see what's going on in the atriums on the other ships.I'm liking a lot of what I see about the Wish.
Only complaint is the atrium concept drawings have too much white on white wall space. The walls in the drawing really look bland. The current ship atriums have a brass type character trim, covering the deck level edges, I see more white. I like the wood paneling seen on the current ships, much more character than a blank white wall.
I hope it's just the drawing, but it could be the minimalist style they have been using at Disney World lately. It's got it's place, but Disney is an "over the top" experience, and they really should embrace that. Minimalist is easy and cheap for Holiday Inn to carry over from a hotel in East St Louis to a Boise Idaho location. I expect more from Disney.
Looking at the video renderings of the ship and the floor plans, it seems to me that EVERY aft-facing cabin has a veranda.I think some people were hoping for some single rooms somewhere. Also, no aft verandahs at the back of the ship - only oceanviews.
