I am actually grateful to the fact that @bluecruiser post made me think twice about leaving my card on the site. I feel it's best not to leave it there, extra security measures are always good imo. I don't think op post was meant to mislead...perhaps the wording or explanation could have been better, but nonetheless I think we can all agree that extra security precautions are always a good idea..

Speaking of popcorn...I seem to remember that I can take and use the old popcorn bucket, that I purchased on the last trip, to get a refills at a lower cost? Any idea what the current cost is to get that refill?

Yes, I have done this. It tracks. I didn't have to do anything extra, I just walked in to DG, bought a $50 gift card using my Chase CC, then later received the $5 back

I think people just enjoyed the thrill of being one of the lucky ones who got the BB deal. That is why you had 7 pages of comments on a BB deal where people got 1 Disney gift card at 20% off while you only had 4 comments about the Amex Lowes deal where you got two $200 Disney gift cards at 25% off each.

Personally, I don't need any more Disney right now so I am using the Lowes Amex offer to buy Visa/Mastercard gift cards. I have the offer on 6 cards, at the first Lowes I visited yesterday they had the Visa gc's at $7.95 and $6.95 fees and they had the special TopGolf Mastercard for a $5.95 fee, so I took the Mastercard.

When buying Visa or Mastercard gc's at Lowes and other stores. the trick is to take all the gift cards off the rack and look at the ones all the way in the back. Usually they have some of the older ones that have lower fees because the idiots who stock the shelves are too lazy and stick the newer gift cards in the front. That is why I said the Visa gift cards have fees of $7.95 and $6.95; the ones in the front all had fees of $7.95 but the ones all the way in the back had fees of $6.95.

I don't think so. For me personally, I dont have multiple Amex cards and the one I do have, doesn't have the offer. I think the amex offer is more limited as to who has it and the BB offer was open to anyone willing to download the app.

As posted previously many times this is a YMMV situation.

You will certainly receive the Chase offer from Chase the question however is if your Dollar General will allow you to use a credit card to purchase the gift card.

For example, we have over 20 of these stores in our area, but I only know of one that will allow me to use a credit card to buy the gift cards.

I don’t know what kind of Amex you have, and I think the Lowe’s offer was more targeting to business cards, but my card didn’t have it at first. I added a bunch of (useless) offers to my card, checked the next day and the Lowe’s offer was there! If you have a business card, keep checking!

I can leave the paper print-out card in the safe at BC and not worry about losing it!

I originally purchased the card with the idea of using it to pay incidentals (popcorn, ice cream, a drink, etc.) as we go around the park and not have so many small amounts charged to the room. I do like the notes idea of having the card number to paste onto food orders. But then I realized that the couple we are going with has already made us lunch reservations everyday of our stay. So we are not going to be ordering on the app.

My DH's Hilton Amex doesn't have the offer. I will try adding a bunch of other offers and see if it triggers! Thanks for the idea!
