NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

So my Chase freedom has 10% off up to five dollars for Dollar General so y’all have used this offer to get gift cards? I do see that it’s not listed under exclusions so I can run in and grab a $50 gift card

So just saying, I don't shop at Dollar General, not that I have anything against them. They're just not in my circle. Have you ever purchased from them before? I'm just thinking of the Warning as seen below.
  • Dollar General Market codes as Grocery with Citi Custom Cash & Chase Freedom Flex
  • Dollar General codes as Variety Store with some Chase credit cards.
  • Visa and Amex may code differently.
  • Warning: Some locations are Cash Only when buying gift cards.

Adorable New Thumper Popcorn Bucket Hops Into Disney Parks. “I’m thumpin’. That’s why they call me Thumper!” With Easter being five weeks away, Disney has released a brand new Thumper popcorn bucket onboard the Disney Cruise Line Ship, Disney Wish. Thumper the Bunny, most famous for his quote “If you can’t say somethin’ nice.., don’t say nothin’ at all,” premiered in Disney’s Bambi movie in 1942, will have his Popcorn Bucket premier at various popcorn Stands at Walt Disney World starting March 25th, 2025. Direct link

Now could you imagine a guest handing this pc bucket to a CM for a refill in the spring? :rotfl: Would they really refill it?

Omg how adorable is it released at Disneyland yet?

I wish costco still offered Disney Gc, haven't seen that in a while 😔

This^ I've only ever seen it offered online once. Maybe I missed the boat years ago... :confused3 After the bad rap they got from a few people who could have handled it better, compared to posting on the mountain of social media, I hope they didn't ruin it for the rest of us. It would be awesome to see Costco on our thread again.

Not very often, my husband runs in there a lot though

I use my rewards to get printer ink cartridges. They are slightly more expensive at BB to start with, but it comes out cheaper with my certificate and I can get actual HP ink instead of an off-brand.

I always use my BB credit card when purchasing my Disney gift cards so I figure that I'm getting an additional 5% off in rewards certificates. I don't have another credit card that gives me 5% at BB so I'll take what I can get.
I just purchased HP ink at Office Depot last week. That would have been a good option. I told DH that he should stop[ at BB on his way home from golf next week and get a pack of batteries.

That popcorn bucket is adorable, but have to pass. I don't want to carry that thing around. I wonder home much popcorn can fit in it, and I don't think a refill would be easy or quick.

People don't really use these kind of buckets for popcorn, more for decoration/collection, they don't put the popcorn in the bucket, they give it to you seperately

I collect the buckets. Because I am a child. 90% of the time they give them to me with the popcorn. And we use them for the popcorn during the trip. Hah.

Well. The figment one only the day of. Was so worried I’d break it.

Yes it's an option but the majority of people buy them for collecting/decoration

I wasn't able to get the BB deal because my app never got past the wait screen. But I'm not unhappy: DH and I each had the spend $200 at Lowe's get $50 back from Amex. I went to the store today, bought $400 in DGCs (two transactions), and already got the emails that the $100 (2 x $50) statement credit is coming. I love when this deal comes around, easy 25% off!

I think people just enjoyed the thrill of being one of the lucky ones who got the BB deal. That is why you had 7 pages of comments on a BB deal where people got 1 Disney gift card at 20% off while you only had 4 comments about the Amex Lowes deal where you got two $200 Disney gift cards at 25% off each.

Personally, I don't need any more Disney right now so I am using the Lowes Amex offer to buy Visa/Mastercard gift cards. I have the offer on 6 cards, at the first Lowes I visited yesterday they had the Visa gc's at $7.95 and $6.95 fees and they had the special TopGolf Mastercard for a $5.95 fee, so I took the Mastercard.

When buying Visa or Mastercard gc's at Lowes and other stores. the trick is to take all the gift cards off the rack and look at the ones all the way in the back. Usually they have some of the older ones that have lower fees because the idiots who stock the shelves are too lazy and stick the newer gift cards in the front. That is why I said the Visa gift cards have fees of $7.95 and $6.95; the ones in the front all had fees of $7.95 but the ones all the way in the back had fees of $6.95.

I’ve bought at least 7 different collector buckets, including the gingerbread house one this past Christmas. The CMs have put the popcorn in every one. I think they give it separate if you ask, but I never remember to do that. So aggravating trying to clean it later.

Wow i guess it's different at WDW! At DL they always put it on the side, I've never had them actually pour it in the bucket

Yeah. They automatically put it in the bucket. I don’t ask. I am sure if I asked for on the side they would. But it’s not the normal way. Only one I ever had handed to me not with popcorn in it was the oogie boogie at the Halloween party.

That is weird I collect them all and they have never put it in the bucket 🤷‍♀️

There was nothing wrong with your post & you absolutely do not deserve the nasty comments from FoxC63. It has been known for years that cards left on the Disney Gift card site have indeed had funds stolen. Many people, myself included have posted advice to not leave cards on the site. No one here knows for sure how the hack happened or at what point in the process. Cards were on the site & the funds were stolen. That’s the point being made & is an important point for everyone to be aware of, including newbies.
I didn’t think FoxC63’s comments were nasty. She just doesn’t want newbies to panic and not trust the gift card website thinking there is rampant fraud on it. There is not. People’s passwords get hacked all the time, especially those Disney ones that are the same across all platforms. That’s how hackers get access to your gift cards.

FWIW, I think it’s a lot more secure after they started 2FA last year. Hackers would need access to Disney and your email to get to your gift cards now.
