Awww....

No need for thanks. I do it for the same reason everyone else does. For people like you who appreciate and use the info we post or look at the photos.

Since I have found this thread, I find myself using my computer more than before and I also visit here about 25 times a day at least.

I also started my own thread for the memories box so just another reason to return more often.

Thanks....for the thanks that is. :)

I hope you enjoy your stay at the lodge. Hold your breath when you first walk in the doors cause you might loose it. I absolutely love the lobby.

Hi everyone,:wave2:

I've posted a few questions here and there on this thread, while I have been reading through all the postings. But, I wanted to tell all of you that this is my ABSOLUTE favorite thread from the resort board because a stay at WL is my dream.
We've been to WDW twice now staying at CBR&CSR.

I am hoping to make our reservation within the next week or so for a MAY stay at WL !!!
I'm so excited about entering the planning stage for another WDW trip that I can hardly stand it.Just trying to number crunch the package deals now:headache:

Thanks for keeping all this WL info in convienent place Kimmar! And thanks to Majestic for all his wonderful work on the picture album.I have been pouring over the wonderful pictures .
:boat:

Hi,
I know exactly how you feel about these boards and about "entering" the planning stage!! I booked my ressie for Aug. 04 a couple of weeks ago and I'm so excited! It just makes me feel good knowing I have a confirmed ressie.

PS, I have 2 boys too :D

Find myself getting up earlier than usual the last couple of days. Hmmm...reminds me of when I was a kid close to Christmas. Last night instead of stories for the Princesses we laid in bed and talked about all the neat things the lodge has to do. I Don't know how we will get the girls to bed early Friday night, but we need to as Sat we leave the house at 6:00 am and Sun is EE at MK. We have a lot planned for the first couple of days.

DW has herself and both the Princesses packed, all that's left is yours truly. Guess I will pack tonight.

Just checked the weather and it looks like we are going to have a lot of clouds and showers to deal with next week. Not too worried.

FC - How likely is a 30% chance of rain there? Is that just a quick PM shower?

I am planning on taking laptop with me so I can maybe post a report or two while there.

Majestic - I will let you know how the "Hunt for the Box" goes.

Anyone else going at this time?

In Florida, when they say "30%", that means 30% of us will see rain. Pack some rain gear. We had a Tropical Depression pop in the Gulf yesterday, so now it depends if it goes to Mexico or swings our way. Should have a better idea Fri or Sat, so just check the night before you leave.

If I see anything important on the news I will post it here.
Have a safe trip.

Great! Have a good trip and bring a little of the lodge back home with you. Even it it's just a towel animal. :)

....all JBJ fans. Guess who has been "guest DJ'ing" all week on 104.3 FM??? YUP! John himself. This AM, he has been playing snippets of the soon-to-be-released acoustic album (in Nov) and it sounds AWESOME!!! Sorry to get side-tracked; ok, WL'ers, carry on.....

That's funny. Here in the midwest 30% means different things. In the spring and fall it generally means it will rain all day. In the summer when we need it, 30% means you might see a stray cloud wander by.

Raingear is already packed.

'Morning all!

Just wanted to share a little Disney magic to those (all of us) who strive to be there all the time :teeth:

Anyhow, if you have a high speed connection and speakers, I found this station that plays music from the parks. Not only music, but full ride sequenses. I love it!!

It's called Florida Project Radio click here to listen

Enjoy! I do!

Beth...thanks for sharing....I can't wait to check it out at home puter!!

Kimmar..........OMG!! You lucky, lucky lady!! I am SOO excited about the new album.....i can't wait to hear it, really jealous you got to hear some....thanks for the excitement!! Thanks for the sidebar info!!:goodvibes

WL's...I had mentioned last week about planning another trip for next year with BIL & SIL....we have decided to have once a month planning meetings due to the large size of the group and our first is tommorrow night so I am hoping to have a new countdown clock soon:hyper:
The only drawback is that a family member invited themselves along with us:mad: ....I am not going to let it spoil the fun for us though.

That's a great idea Corky. Get's everyone on the same page. Set expectations. Make sure there is plenty of time apart from each other while at the world. Trust me.

I also feel your pain about the unwelcomed guest. (or in my case, guests)

Make the best of it and like you said, don't let it ruin the trip!

Keep us all posted.

That is so cool. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm listening to it right now. Wishing... dreaming... I want to go back!

Leaving tomorrow night!!!! I had to post because I just couldn't control my excitement and thought talking to you WL vets might help calm me down. We fly out of Manchester NH (trying to avoid Logan airport this time). We spend the first day at Universal then we're off to the great WL on Sunday! We booked a courtyard room and I requested an inner courtyard because I like to people watch too, FloridaCat.

Hey KCDISDAD, maybe I'll see you down there. I, too, hope the rain holds off - at least I hope it doesn't rain for a few days straight. I don't mind some of it to keep the crowds away...just not a lot. Especially on Sunday night. We have our costumes all packed for the MNSSHP for the 5th.

I can't wait to step foot in the WL lobby again...it's been 1 1/2 years since we've been there and I remember when I left last time. I stood in the doorway and took it all in, knowing that I'd be back again.... and now that time is almost here!!!

SnowWhiteIsDreaming-Hope you have a wonderful vacation!!
Wish I could be there in the lobby with you :(

...WDW vaca, have a WONDERFUL time!!! (we'll be waiting for your reports!!)

(Liv2CDworld, can't wait to listen to that link at home....!)

I know what you are saying as I am from Illinois. Florida is a world of it's own, wildlife, plants, birds & weather. I have sat on my patio looking at clear blue sky, watch a thuderhead develpoe and get drenched. a sight to see.

This question gets asked all the time and Channel 6 weather Man had this very question asked last night.

When they say 30%, it is 30% in the viewing area will see rain.

I lived in Eureka, a small town outside of Peoria.

You never gave us an update on your DGD that was applying to some animal program at a college (sorry I can't remember where)...did she do this?

Thanks for the weather info. Where in IL? I grew up in St. Louis and lived for a couple of years in Oak Park, IL.

Question - Do the rooms in WL have ceiling fans? I always sleep so much better when I have moving air.

Thanks.

Thanks for asking. She has applied for entrance at Santa Fe College in Gainesville. They are the leading College in Zoology in the US. After she completes her AS, she will be accepted at University of Florida for her BS.

In the meantime she was one of twenty five applicants for one Internship opening at the Sanford Zoo. It required they go through a series of interviews and the final decision was based on a 300 word essay. She about broke my ear drum when she called that she had been chosen. LOL

She has been assigned to the Reptile Director and getting hands on experience feeding, cleaning and caring for Snakes and Turtles. One assignment is to measure and weigh 8 baby Snapping Turtles and keep a log. The Director told her keeping very good records is a must and he will make sure she knows how to do it well.
She is also getting the hard work part as well as she called me last Sunday night and she had spent the entire day cleaning garbage cans and Snake cages.

She was nervous about her first assignment, but she went in and handled it like a Trooper. DD went to the Zoo last Saturday to see her and the Director told her that Emily was a natural. He said he Believes Animals can sense trust and he sees it with Emily.

True to her nature she has already brought home a 4 year old Flying Squirrel that needs care.

FC....how exciting for her! She sounds like she is off to a great start. Keep us updated! I can hear the pride in your voice..err..fingers!:D

KCDISDAD...we had a ceiling fan in our room...I assume they all do. Have fun!

Just got a chance to take a look at your flag family pictures...they came great. It looks like a awesome experience.

I will make a request to be flag family when we check in...hope a day is open during our stay. I know my DD's will love being on the roof.
