We are planning a five adult family trip to Disneyland this June. The last time we were in the parks was 2023, and Fantasmic was not running. Previous years we would always just queue up with the masses, we have never done a dining package. I am curious about peoples experiences with Fantasmic now. We are looking at the Rancho del Zocalo package, and trying to decide if it is worth it. There are so many ways to part with your money at the parks, we want to make smart choices, which means picking and choosing! Also, I'm hoping the show is as good as it used to be, before poor Murphy bit the dust.

If there is only one thing you should spend money on, this is my recommendation for best value. I love the Rancho package. I think the viewing section is the best and I love Mexican food!

You get to sit on the ground in a designated Rancho section to the left of center. If you arrive closer to 8:00 when the viewing area opens, go to the far portion of the section, and you have a just left of center view - can't really be beat. I personally recommend sitting a few rows back from the railing so it doesn't obstruct your view.

The thing about the Rancho viewing is it's low stress. A nice place to watch Fantasmic, PLUS stay in the same spot for a view of fireworks with projections on the water screens. 45 minutes of entertainment for the price of one. No hassle with crowds on Main Street.

This is the best value at DLR in my opinion! I don't spend money on any other extras at DLR, so this is the perspective of a frugal person.

Thank you! This is exactly the type of information that's so helpful!

If you are for sure wanting to see Fantasmic and don't want to have to stand behind others I would get the Rancho package. It is actually not that bad of a deal considering you get a meal with drink & dessert. You are probably paying $15 for the actual "seat."

I've done the Rancho del Zocalo package and loved it. I think it's the best way to see Fantasmic unless you want to spring for the River Belle Terrace premium package, where you sit on the RBT patio and have dinner and watch the show. The Rancho package gets you closer to the show, but the RBT premium is nice if you want to have dinner first and have a chair for the show and then fireworks. The Rancho show is definitely worth it. I'll probably do that again on my next trip.

If you traveling with someone who really hates fireworks (like the person I was traveling with) Pirates is incredibly close by. What we did, which worked incredibly well for my friend, was to ride Pirates immediately after Fantastic ended. By the time we got off the ride, the fireworks were over.
