I know I am probably the last person on the planet to use netflix, but I did it today, and it was so easy to set it up to stream thru the wii right away,
its been a cold snowy/sleeting day here so we have really been enjoying it!

:rotfl:I'm sure there are one or two people out there in a cave somewhere who still don't have it!!

It's great, though, isn't it?

we were probably the last people on earth to get a dvr/tivo so I understand the feeling. glad you are enjoying it! we love netflix, and the streaming is wonderful!

If you go to your wii shop channel you can download a netflix channel, so you can stream it without having to have the disk in the wii.

We have ours on XBox and definitely get our money's worth every month!

Hi npmommie,
Netflix is the best. :woohoo: Once we had the ability to watch through the Wii we got even more use out of it. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

Nope-- we are. :lmao: We still don't have tivo or dvr.

We just signed up for Netflix over the weekend. We bought a TV with the internet ready stuff and it was great getting the movies streamed right to the tv.

We also have a wii. Can someone explain what we need to do to be able to stream movies throught he wii?

I went to the wii shop channel on the wii, set up the wireless internet connection, ( I had never set it up prior to this) then choose netflix from the channel, it will set up and give you a code, you enter the activation code on the netflix website.
on netflix site I clicked on activate netflix device from the "my account" section.
it was super easy and only took maybe 5 minutes.

That would be me! But I'm getting a new TV soon and a blu ray player with wifi so Netflix won't be far behind.

Hey, I thought we were the last to catch on to Netflix! We just recently got it streaming through our xbox and the kids and DH love it! Who know maybe someday I will learn how to text too!

I just started Netflix on the 360 about a week ago! DH and I love watching movies so we're so in love with it. Can't believe it took us this long to sign up!

well worth the 8$ a month!! I find new stuff everyday!

we've only had ours for about a week and a half...still on the one month free trial...using the Wii also.

Why did we wait so long????:confused3

we're considering dropping our cable tv service and just use netflix and over the air channels...tired of paying for 70 channels when we only watch about 7 of them.

Now just add Hulu PLUS - if you can - and you can get rid of cable.... or at least cut your bill.

After having NETFLIX AND Hulu PLUS, I called to cancel some of my service on FIOS, and they took $40 off my monthly bill for a whole year. And I kept everything I already have.

Not bad, saving $480 by placing one call.

Hi npmommie,
Netflix is the best. :woohoo:
And pretty-soon, it may be the only. ;)

just kidding -- Blockbuster will survive, and there other services, such as Amazon. They'll each end up selling things a little differently, but there will be choices.

The one thing that kills Netflix for us, though, is that although their software supports closed captioning, the studios are generally not providing closed captioned versions of their movies and television shows. (It's like a fraction of a percent of the total that are captioned.) So families with a hearing impaired member cannot take advantage of this great service. :( The law hasn't caught up with technology.

Bicker closed cap is coming to netflix I've found some with it already on there (parking wars)

You guys are just tauting me, right? :sad2:

I still have not set up my Netflix. Alright.....I am going to try and figure it out today.;)

I have to figure out how to get my Wii "online" first. I already have the Netflix disc.
