Netflix!!

Bicker closed cap is coming to netflix I've found some with it already on there (parking wars)
As I mentioned, it's like a fraction of a percent of the total that are captioned. Last time I checked (in April) it was slightly more than 100 titles (out of tens of thousands of streaming titles) and 80 or so of those titles were the 80 or so episodes of Lost (each one counted separately  ).

You guys are just tauting me, right? :sad2:

I still have not set up my Netflix. Alright.....I am going to try and figure it out today.;)

I have to figure out how to get my Wii "online" first. I already have the Netflix disc.

I've had it for 2 months, streaming through the Wii, and I don't know why I waited so long! It's so easy to use (though I don't like the fast forward/rewind function).

As for setting up the Wii "online", if you have a wireless router for your internet, it's super easy. Here are directions on how to set up the internet:

My biggest problem was finding the security key (WEP). I just had to turn my router over and it was on the bottom! :rotfl2:

COOL, thanks!! We have our Wii wired through one off our computers, router is in a different room. I am going to set it up wirelessly because when the computer goes into the sleep mode it disconnects the internet connection, thus stopping the movie :lmao:.

Not sure if this was mentioned here but I love Netflixs because I can watch a movie on my phone through them If you have a Iphone you can stream and watch instant que. Airport waits, car drives... it's life saving.

Well.....I finally did it!!!! There was a movie I want to watch instant and darn it, I went and hook myself up. YEA!

VERY VERY cool.....:thumbsup2

We have the dvd Netflix service... hoping to get a blueray with WiFi (Black Friday?) so we can stream, too.

Do they offer a good selection of movies to stream? Like new releases?

They are pretty new. If you are willing to wait alot of them will come to the Instant Stream.

I read this thread and decided to give it a try with the free trial. We've had it for almost 2 hours now and :thumbsup2

When I told DS11 & DS15 I signed up, well, I should have waited until Christmas and told them it was their present. :lmao:DS11 plays our Wii so he knows all about it and DS15 has XBox so he knew all about it. I think we're the last people to sign up for it. :rotfl:

You can have it on 6 "things" so it's on the Wii, XBox, my laptop and the boys each have a computer.

I might mention DH likes it too!

I imagine we'll keep it. We have MediaCom and it's $70/month plus all the misc. taxes. OUCH!

My DS13 streams movies onto his ipod touch. We also have it on our Wii and Xbox. Love it!

You need to pay for XBOXLIVE to play the Netflix, right? Currently I do not have XBOXLIVE.

Can you stream multiple devices at the same time or it is just one at a time?

Yes you have to have an xbox gold live account

I've never streamed to mutliple divices but I've been doing some looking around and yes you can. I believe it's based on your plan as to how many movies you can stream at one time to the different devices.

We could only stream 2 here. I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer on my laptop, DS11 was watching Mythbusters on his computer and DS15 wanted to watch SouthPark on his XBox. He has a Gold Membership with Live. He couldn't. The message said something about only 2 on instant que at a time. I told DS11 it was DS15 turn so he shut his off and then the other could get on.

I can see where that might cause some issues in my house. :rolleyes1

:sad1: Unfortunately Netflix still isn't available here in Mexico. I would love to be able to stream in some movies on my Wii, but I don't know if they even have any plans in the works for bringing it here.

If anybody has heard anything about Netflix coming to Mexico I would love to know about it. Until then, I'll just have to keep going to Block Buster.

Interesting. I know that dd's want the XBOXLIVE Gold account for Christmas.;)

Is what Pikestar says is correct? Do you have 2 movies at a time and that is why you can only do 2 movies maybe?

Some membership plans allow you to watch simultaneously on more than one personal computer or Netflix-ready device. If you are on the 1-disc-out-at-a-time plan, you may watch only one device at a time. If you are on the 2-discs-out-at-a-time plan, you may watch on up to two devices at a time. Members on the 3-disc plan can watch on up to three devices. The maximum is four devices -- available for members on the 4-or-greater-discs-out-at-a-time plan.

Your account can have up to six unique authorized devices activated (and associated with it) at any given time, including personal computers and Netflix-ready devices. For example, if you're on the 1-disc plan, you can have up to six devices associated with your account, but you can only watch one of them at a time. If you're on the 2-disc plan, you can have up to six devices activated but can only watch two of them at the same time.

Thanks bicker. Yea, I could have looked that up.;)

I was thinking about going to 1 at a time and now......I am going to keep the 2 at a time.

Good marketing. It worked on me.:lmao:

We have unlimited one at a time, and can view on more than one at a time.

Pretty sure my son was watching on the wii, while my daughter was on her laptop, and I was on our main PC. So we just tested it. My daughter and I were both on at the same time.

I have a question for anyone that has tried it. Does streaming through a Netflix ready device look better than directly from a PC? I connect my main PC through a DVI/HDMI cable to the big screen. Would like to free it up some by using Roku or a networking Blu-ray if there is a difference. Will save the money if not.
