Need help from FP+ experts for one day...

In early June, I'm arriving to the parks around 3 p.m. on our first day. We'd love a shot to get a FP+ for SDMT, but they're already all gone for pre-booking. Well, check that: I could get one for our party of 5.

The morning of, I will have access to my phone and the MDE app. Will more FP+ slots open on MDE, allowing me to copy my FP+ reservations (which include SDMT) over to the rest of my family, or will the extra-day-of FP+ reservations only be "loaded" to the kiosks in the park?

And if the FP+ slots open on MDE, what is the best time to look? At park opening? Earlier?

Thanks for your help (and sorry if this question has been asked before--too difficult to search for). :goodvibes

1- Recent info says no. (But, certainly try.)

2- I'll just say "frequently."

Thanks! So what should my strategy be, do you think? Should I burn my two other FP+ reservations (that I don't really care about) and move them to an early time so I have a shot at getting a FP+ when we get in the park? (There's probably no chance at 3 p.m., though…)

That is one of the strategies suggested by some here.

As long as it suits your needs that day, do whatever you'd like to try.

Each day -and each guest- can be different, with different needs.
With FP+ being this new and still in flux, there are no "this is the way to do it" strategies that will cover all needs.
